He definitely hates Serbs, and each time he visits Serbia he does it even more, because in Belgrade politicians use him as a laughing stock.

JohnBoy, good job :)
You're right on the money! If most of the commentators here in B92 are as sound as you, we would've had a better discussion.

Mr. Lindsay is absolutely correct, and anyone who understands the UN Charter, Helsinki Final Act of 1975 and UN Resolution 1244 would agree that Serbia has every chance for success bofore the ICJ because Kosovo's so-called "independence" is illegitimate as a matter of international law. The EU knows it and that is why Kouchner is going to Belgrade to apply pressure on Serbia to drop the case; if it had no merit, Kouchner wouldn't be going to Belgrade, Kouchner has shown his cards. Lindsay's statement makes clear that even now Kosovo is not legitimate, becuase if it was, efforts wouldn't be necessary to "legitimize" it; it's basic logic. I call on all Serbs to be FIRM AND RESOLUTE and go forward with the ICJ process and not lose your spine in the face of EU pressure!!!! Remember, in today's world with Russia, Brazil, India and China, the EU is not the only "game in town". The 21st Century will belong to China anyway. Kouchner does not have the right to demand a sovereign state to not pursue a case with the ICJ.

The west must really be worried about the ICJ if this arrogant clown is visiting Beograd. bush can't do anything to save Georgia, the Chinese will overpower the usa in the medal count, the Iraqi will be evicting us troops soon and the Iranians will get their nuclear bombs. I think bush and rice are afraid of being steamrolled all over the world because of their stupidity. An ICJ ruling declaring the UDI to be illegal will give an excuse for the countries who were strong armed into recognizing Kosovo to withdraw their recognition. The albanian posters to this site refuse to acknowledge that recognition can be withdrawn as easily as it is given. Then, they are lost.

Ida, I don't think so, but nice try.

"Lindsay says that a ruling in Serbia’s favor would “significantly complicate further efforts to legitimize Kosovo as a state.”

...And EU will complicate life for Serbia and Kosova will still be independent.

Sounds like a plan

the ICJ will put the illegal stillborn-entity in place.

I don´t see what this comedian could do about it.

and that is quite good.

Are Serbs going to grill him on the organ theft and the witnessed concentration holding camps of kidnapped Serbs? Even the Muslims of the Sandzak humanitarian branch were able to see and speak with the groups of Serb civilians being held in some of the camps in Kosovo.

This guy stood over the ethnic cleansing and genocide (thousands or Serbs and Roma killed and kidnapped out of a population of 300,000) of non-Albanians.

Are the relatives of kidnapped Serbs, other Kosovo Serb refugees, and those outraged at his being a part of what happened going to protest his visit? One would hope Serbs stand up against the evil which was done to them.
