yes there is confusion

the people abandoning the milosevic communist party are confused as for which party they will vote for - not tadic of course

the real panic is in the tadic/milosevic/ bush camp.

the true democratic serbian front will be organized and will retake the government.

orwell would love tadic and the neo-liberal bushian alliance in belgrade.

tadic will not last long as the leader of this current and temporary government in belgrade

enjoy the ride and long live serbia / free, independent serbia

SPS gain new supporters? Ha! ya right...

Not only will this government be ineffective as we have already seen with its inability to even hold a normal secession in parliament. The added bureaucracy which is rife and common in the political left of Serbia (DS,SPS,LDP) will only slow the process of development in the country let alone its fight to save Kosovo.

National reconciliation? Thats a funny little weird communists use to solidify total control. In a true democracy there is no national reconciliation between political parties. I think Serb as a whole are already reconciled that Kosovo is Serbia and it must be defended at all costs... even at the cost of *wait for the shock* membership in the EU! :O

Just a friendly reminder folks it was the Left communist forces that destroyed Serbia for the sake of Yugoslavia.

Well I'm glad that Bajatovic has started to make points that I've been making for some time, not only about SRS, but also about SPS.

However, I don't think its the right time to gloat and talk about the opposition panicking. They will get over their defeat, god knows they must be used to it by now, and its upto the rational of us to keep moving forward with concrete policies.

If Bajatovic does more than just talk a good game then he may be right about attracting new voters, but it won't happen quickly and SPS will struggle to make the census next time round.

I had the misfortune to again bump into protestors yesterday led by an individual carrying an Obraz flag.

With the same pro-EU, pro-NATO, pro-globalisation policies as the outgoing government I am not convinced that this new DS+poodles government will be any more successful than it has been over the past few years. For the sake of Serbia I hope it is.

As for the Opposition panicking, I think this is wishful thinking from a man and Party (SPS) which has assigned itself to oblivion.

Djindjic spent years fighting the SPS and always lost. Tadic has not only defeating the SPS, he has now wiped it off Serbia’s political map. We will see this at the next election when the SPS will join the SPO as one of Serbia’s many invisible and insignificant political parties.
