Nice observation Mr. Ceku!! well that's the reality right now which other separatists in Pristina continue to be blind.

Not only the recognition will stop but some states who are part of the 43 who violates international law will REVERSE their recognition of kosovo UDI once the ICJ quash this in september.

A true american,

Don't ever discount Serbian diplomacy. Serbia has had some of the best European diplomats over the centuries, especially prior to communism. Now that communism has faded into the past, Serbian diplomatic efforts are on the upswing again. You can count on Jeremic having significant impacts to the global opinion on Kosovo's independence. Although I am not a big fan of the current Serbian government, I can certainly admit that they have made some excellent diplomatic moves since the UDI. When Serbia turns to diplomacy and is not involved in military conflict, all is well and will continue to improve. I can only hope that Serbia will not be provoked into armed conflict with anyone. As long as the Kosovo Albanians stay calm, don't force Serbs from their homes, allow for a multi-ethnic society in Kosovo, respect international human rights, etc., Serbia will do nothing in Kosovo to change the lives of Albanians living there. Serbia will continue applying effective diplomatic pressure throughout the world and the tables will begin turning on the UDI.

the comments made by USA are quite right. Its the same here in the UK, there are only 2 countries that matter to the UNITED STATES, themselves and the UK. Kosovo independence is a tool to get muslims onside while we run amuck in the middle east. For years we supported Saddam. At this point in time Serbia is doing everything right. On the world stage Kosovos independence features near the bottom in the scheme of things. There will come a point when some sensible US leader sees supporting the KLA terroist goverment as a mistake.

There is an internal power struggle, thachi and ceku being now in the struggle for power. Nothing new, nothing to cheer or jeer. Just one villain is using all what he can to blast the other villain.

This is not of much importance for Serbs or Albanians here, all they can hope, these criminals will be busy with each other. Thumbs down for both.

Mr. Ceku is beginning to realize what more and more Albanians will realize in the near future: This Kosovo dream was only a dream and could not be forced into the minds and souls of everyone on our planet, as many had hoped. It is still beyond me that so many posters on this site and other sites are so incredibly naive. First of all, I live in the USA and am fully aware of the gradual decline of US economic and political influence, both internally here and externally abroad. Having the US, Great Britain, and a few other Western countries supporting the UDI cannot be enough to sustain anything. The Albanian posters on here believe that the US has some sort of loving and caring tie to Kosovo Albanians. I laugh everytime I read a post that implies neverending support for the UDI by the US. Reality is that at the end of every day, senior US officials in Washington review global events and formulate plans for how to approach all global issues. Earlier this year, it was in the best interest of the US to support the Kosovo Albanians for reasons relating to geographic, military, economic, and political influence over the ever-strengthening Russians. As the international support continues to decline, the US will re-evaluate their position and what's IN THE BEST INTEREST of the US. Don't for one second think that the US wouldn't drop the Kosovo Albanians from the face of the earth if it didn't perceive UDI support as being in the best national interest of the United States of America. The pendulum will continue to swing, but the US, and automatically other Western European states, will begin to soften their stance with respect to the UDI, decrease political and economic aid to Kosovo over time, and let Serbia handle its own internal Kosovo issues with the promise, of course, that all will be dealt with by peaceful means. I do believe that this will eventually be the stance of the US and Western Europe once they realize that Serbia is in fact interested in contributing economically and culturally to the success of European society. How will they be convinced? Serbia will continue to perform well diplomatically (i.e. ICJ) and meet all of EU's demands while Albanian Kosovo and Albania proper will forever live in the past by continuing to be the major source of heroin trade into Europe from Eastern countries and by becoming violent in the face of failed indpendence. To all posters on this site, save my text! I guarantee it to be a road map of what's to come in the next 5-10 years. Stay tuned!

Dear Mr. Ceku,

The frustration in regard to the decline in recognition of Kosovo is mutual. No country has recognized Kosovo since June 13, however, holding the current administration responsible does not make the situation better. Instead of working together as ONE, you are dividing the country for your own political achievement. You had the chance to make a difference as a member of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, but for reasons not familiar to me you decided to withdraw. Your popularity along with Mr. Haradinaj’s could have made a difference in Kosovo. There may have been personal issues in regard to you moving to a different party. Your vision on post-independence may have been different from that of AFK, but you as politicians owe it the citizens of Kosovo to put your differences aside and work towards one goal, to make Kosovo a better place.
Establishing a better environment in Kosovo is in the benefit of every citizen. It shows to countries around the world that Kosovo respects human rights (unlike our northern neighbors), that is capable of growing economically and that is united. These action will become a direct reflection of the decision the UN Countries and International Court of Justice make on regard to independence.
As a citizen of Kosovo, I believe you can make a major difference by bringing the opposite and the ruling party together. No more fighting, no more empty promises. Time has come to use your popularity towards actions that will benefit only one institution, Kosovo.

Sincerely,

Uranii

Your exactly right Hans, Ceku is a war criminal that see that all the blood on his hands is all in vain. He see that all the hype is comeing to an end and reality is setting in. He sees that this is realy a puppet state and it's coming to an end soon. And he's letting the K Albanians know that the end is coming and that Taci & Co. will try to put their thumb down on the citisens to force them to see it their way or noway. You can't put a square peg through a round hole, and thats what Taci & co. and the west are tring to do and it won't work. Serbia has the law on their side, the round peg people, and soon it will be in the ICJ. Thanks Vuk.

All empires need colony's to show the natives how smart their masters are and to patronize the natives. The pretentious EU empire of Rome ,Berlin ,London ,Paris is no different. They are missing their self importance and want some colony's like they had note so long ago. Kosovo will be the first new colony I'm sure they would like to add Serbia to and the rest of the Balkans and teach them how to get along I think Yugoslavia was suppose to be something like that. Like the Germans ,French ,British and Italians they found their true love with them selfs and each other don't reign on there new empire of love and of their pompous parades of self gratifying importance or else.

Surprise, surprise! I thought that the others (other countries) are not important at all for recognition of Kosovo. However, it turns out that the recognition from the rest of the world is very important, indeed. Besides, who could ever believe that 43 countries make a world?

For current status of Kosovo, Albanians can thank our foreign minister Vuk Jeremic! :)
