This is not true. General Domazet, head of psyops had a fake order airdropped. Read it here from a croatian newspaper:

“Matthew, you have to look at your own people first before criticising others. (Dino, 4 August 2008 02:04)”

Dino read my comment again and note the references to Srebrenica, the shame I feel, and what I’ve done as a Serb to apologize to the Bosniak people. I guess in your view I will never have any right to stand up for the innocent Serbian victims even if they are in my immediate family. What more would you want of me, and what have you done to “look at your own people”, or did your people commit no crimes ever? Or is that just your standard excuse to dismiss the crimes against Serbs when they bring it up, somehow I doubt you even read my comment.

Personally, I find the “evacuation” excuse simply as offensive as nationalist Serbs who say the same thing about the Albanians in Kosovo leaving because of the NATO bombing or because the KLA made them do it.

So you honestly think the Serbs abandoned their homes to be destroyed by the Ustashe just to make the Croatians look bad? Remind me again what happened to the Serbs that remained behind? Just what exactly is your point?

“And also, move on from Germany.”

Why don’t you move on from Serbia? Probably for very similar reasons that I bring up Germany’s negative influence in the region.

I guess Serbs had no innocent victims, we’re all evil, we destroyed ourselves in Krajina just to get attention, even knowing the crimes would be ignored, we just had to try anyway. That’s seriously the silliest argument I’ve every heard.

Next you’ll claim we destroyed our own homes.

Its pretty offensive to post such nonsense on the anniversary of such a crime.
I hope you sleep well at night.

You are correct. The Serbs did pack up and leave. The reality is that Mile Martic ordered the evcuation days prior - (there is documented proof off this evacuation order). In actual fact the the sebs even arranged buses. Mile Martic left (by Helicopter) 2 days before Opertion Storm starting - so much for a brave & fearless leader.

Lets not forget that in 1991 all Croats were expelled from this same region and forced to be refugees in there own country.

Happy Anniversary to all Croats

What an odd comment by mr. ruchala (if that is indeed who you are), i.e. former editor of the pavelicpapers.com:

and former cheif editor of sobaka and diacritica:

(readers, have a proper rifle through the way back machine links as only a few of them actually work - some very good stuff indeed)

Care to explain?

you cant ethnically cleanse someone when they arent there. It is well known that an order signed by RSK leadership 3 days before Storm ordered evacuation prior to Storm. This document exists, it is also what Babic testified too. Not to mention that this was in 1995 and after 100,000 croats were removed from Krajina prior to Storm.

Just like Serbia's genocide claim, what Gotovina etc are accused of will be hard to prove for certain. However anyone who follows trials in Hague will know that judges do not favour anyone but do require hard evidence and not political speeches that seselj and milosevic constantly made/make. Serbs like to think its inpartial in order to excuse what happened however if one actually takes time to follow evidence presented for each trial (it is on net), it is overwhelming.

Matthew, you have to look at your own people first before criticising others. And also, move on from Germany. I bet there arent many serbs in serbia (or croatia or bosnia for that matter) who wouldnt want to emigrate to germany.

Cali,

My wife was on the ground there when Operation Storm happened, my brother in law’s home is one of those 20,000 that was destroyed. I’ve been to Krajina numerous times myself and have seen the destruction first hand. I KNOW EXACTLY what happened there in 95 and in WWII.

The facts are pretty clear. 2,000 murdered and 250,000 ethnically cleansed over the space of 4 days.

I’m extremely curious how you justify these actions in your mind?

At least I feel shame for the atrocities of Srebrenica and would like to see justice for those victims. I went to Bosnia to work with Bosniak Humanitarian groups to do what little I could do as an individual to apologize on behalf of my people.

Croats committed crimes against Serbs and Bosniaks both and are the only ethnicity in Bosnia to suffer causalities greatly less than their population per capita.

I’ve been to Mostar too, so I know exactly what Croatians are capable of doing to their “allies”.

Croatia is still in land disputes with all their Yugo neighbors, Bosnia, Slovenia & Montenegro. Plenty of people in positions of influence and power are unreformed Ustashe revisionists.

Oh wait, they are close allies of Germany, so they can do no wrong.

By the way, have you even read any of Tudjman’s books? Do you also deny the atrocities of WWII? Do you also believe Jasenovac was a death camp for Croatian victims?

Its simply amazing to me to see someone justify the worst ethnic cleansing of the wars of the 1990’s. How do you live with yourself?

Instead of quarelling here what Croatia celebrates, we should have helped the integration of Serbs into Serbian society long time ago. The better Serbs live at home, the best punishment for enemies from the surroundings. Best regards.

The 3 generals are as guilty as the Serbian generals which means...guilty.

What I don't understand is how the world can applaud Croatia for celebrating that day, as well as using the checkerboard symbol on their flag and national uniforms. That is disgraceful. Swastikas are illegal, the checkerboard should at least be taken off national symbols, that is a bad mark on Croatias past and should not be upheld as something to aspire to.

Cali,

So over a quarter million Serbians just decided on the same day to move area and another 3 thousand committed suicide.

Wake up!! Atrocities were committed by croats, bosniaks and serbs but at least others are open to admission these days....Some countries wait for the day Mesic actually admits his countries past instead of protecting these people.

David J. Jones

pre 15 godina

I bet the 3 Generals currently on trial get a not guilty verdict which will be applauded by US, UK and Germany.

Some of the recent verdicts from this 'supposed' court of law would have been laughable had they not been so blatantly biased.
