I care. If there was such a deal, I want to see all the signatories lined up in a court room.

But - can this be proved? Can it be confirmed? Or will it be a case of "he said, she said"?

I find it very difficult to believe that Holbrooke would be so stupid as to sign anything like that, or that Karadzic would be so stupid as to believe him.

However, this story just won’t die. I am now starting to get slightly interested in it.

It does matter a lot. Holbrooke plans a return in the case Obama would be elected. Even if Holbrooke won't be indicted (I am sure, he won't!) this could make a scandal forcing him to retire from active politics.

Further, some heads here and there will roll. The more heads responsible for the civil war in YU roll, the better.

Dino, yes it does matter that such deal exists, first holbrook should be dragged to Den Haag to face charges for aiding and abetting an suspect of warcrimes.

(which is an warcrime in it self)

Does anyone really care and so what if there was a deal? evil man had to be sent packing and if was as easy as promising him not being arrested to ensure peace then so what. Only thing it proves that Karadzic himself thought that he did some bad things because if he was only defending, there would not have been a need for him to accept a deal as such.
