Even in a past there was a pression from BiH authorities to travel to BiH with Serbian passports. UNMIK passports are recognized, but there is a need for visa which Kosovars can get in Skopje, while for Serbian passports there is no need for visa. Nevetheless, I don't know single Kosovar who decided to get Serbian passport for this easement. They go to Skopje, get needed visa and travel to BiH. I expect at least same criteria for Kosovo passports, otherwise pressure to BiH authorities will be big. There are family connections, business relations and simply wish of Kosovars to visit BiH and opposit and this passport regime is not useful for anybody.
Situation of BiH is understandable, but BiH in a same time must show willingness to move forward, not only because of Kosovo, more for itself. Unclearities and status quo can not last nowhere forever and BiH can not be exclusion.

Good luck to Kosovo, good luck to all Balkans...

“The Presidency does not work on a simple majority. Otherwise, the Serbs there would have practically no say in the affairs of the country and we would simply leave the union.

Hopefully Bosnia will continue to respect the wishes of the Serbian population there. As long as it does, then it has a chance to survive as a state.”

Well... democracy presumes the rule of majority, in any democratic country in the world — from USA to India, Germany and Brazil.

And Bosnia as a whole, if it wants to join the two big Western and European alliances (EU and NATO), it will need to function as a unified nation-state that respects the wishes of the majority of its people.

Albanians should release that no matter how much they shun the countries which will not accept their fake passports, that alone gives you an indication that you are not a nation.

The fact that there are countries which will not let you even through their country with your passport, is just a reminder of harsh reality.

Having a passport where you need a visa to travel to a lot of places is a pain enough. But having a passport that is not accepted at all by certain places, just outdoes it all.

On top of that, the countries you can go to with your fake passport, will not let you in without a visa. And to get that visa you need to go to other countries for a request. And in some cases, the countries you need to go to request a visa, don't accet your passport.

I mean, this whole thing is a charade and a joke, so step back and take a look at the sitaution objectivelly.
Very soon this illusion you created of some kind of statehood and independence will dissapear quickly.

Thank you Sven and Bosnia!

At least four out of 6 former SFRY republics realise that Kosovo is not an independent state..

But don´t be sad about that dear Kosovo albanians, if you want to visit Slovenia, just first go to Albania, then take the ferry to Italy and then drive all the way to Slovenia :-)

Prepare 3 days of travel instead of 8 hours....

Who travels by land to go to the west these days?

I wish you the best of luck and actually look forward to this with excitement. Perhaps if you land a job in the U.K for instance, you will need only a one-way ticket! I wish that you can travel and work any where in the world in fact. There are a lot of opportunities out there and a chance to start a new life-- Spread the word!!

Erghhh.... me. There are these neat things with four wheels with seats inside and they read somewhat like "Toyota" and such. Last time I tried to fit one inside of an airplane and darn, it did not fit.

More importantly, there will be a trouble with the 12-wheelers to get the goods in Kosovo in, say, extended height 40-feet container. Good luck loading a 40-feeter on an airplane... you will need large cargo airplanes. The majority of trade is either from or via Serbia and I see some issues immediately.

Of course it's possible to re-load the goods from one truck to the other at the border, but it won't make goods cheaper (who will suffer?)

I expect people from Kosovo to be more pragmatic and just use Serbian passports. A simpler solution and no problem travel to Sarajevo, you won't need even a visa. But that's precisely the point.

Dear Ataman,
thank you for reminding us of what could happened next!
We don't need to go through Macedonia-Bulgaria-Hungary to get to Europe!
Have you heard of airplane,we can actually can fly from International Airport in Pristina!!!
So please stop being so clever and negative about future of Kosovo!!!
We will understand that the countries which didn't recognise Kosovo as a country won't except the new Kosovan Passports, but hey, look at the bright side,we have our own passports, we have our own country,we are getting somewhere!!!
43countries,not a bad start,it will do for now, once we have visited all these countries,I bet some new ones will come up!!!
Gezuar and Ziveli!

Actually the land route is completely blocked because Romania will not except your passports as well. Starting building a bridge to Italy.
Have a nice day :D

It looks like a diplomatic disaster for me, I did not expect it to be so bad. After Slovakia this one is the sign of more trouble: the landroute from Kosovo to any really friendly EU country is (almost) locked out. The only way is Macedonia-Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria. Until we do not hear some news from Romania. Or even more: Slovakia could apply pressure by temporarily closing Schengen borders if they want.

Bosnian Presidency is constituted by 3 guys: one Bosniak, one (atheist) Croat and one Bosnian Serb.

In theory and practice, 2 > 1.

In theory, the majority would aprove the new Kosovar passports.

"The decision as to whether to accept the new Kosovo travel documents can only be taken by the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency."

B92,

Don't jump to conclusion so fast by "refusing Kosova's passport".

Just wait and see the new REALITY!
