Ataman,
I noticed that to justify your own views of some people you have the tendancy to put them into certain artificial categories like "CNN watchers", "neo-cons", "first generation right-wing Hungarians in the US", "Orban followers"...etc.
I don't fitinto any of these groups. I was never a so-called follower. I hardly watch TV...CNN not at all. My source is the media on the internet in 4 languages. What CNN did with those Bp images is of no interest for me. Knowing how bad Americans are with geography it is possible that an employee pulled out the wrong file.
Otherwise I notice your boundless zeal and energy in defence of everything Serbian. Soon you will be more Serbian than some of the well-known Serbs on this site.
Is it because the Hungarians of Vojvodina are treated better? I don't see any improvment there. Will they be treated better soon?
It doesn't look like. In 3 months when the Hungarians will try to assemble above the unmarked mass-graves of those thousands of innocent civilients massacred in 1944 how many of those sites will be forbidden for them? On how many of them will the freshly planted cross be removed or burned overnight again by "tolerant people"?
Reconsiliation is nice if both sides are ready for it. I studied for years in Eastern-France and there between the two border regions and also between France and Germany it became a reality because both sides wanted it.
Also between Romania and Hungary there was great progress. But between Serbia and Hungary? Maybe in 20-30 years? To see the "reality on the ground" maybe you should visite over a long week-end a Hungarian community in the Bacska. Maybe they don't have the same rasberry cake as those cafe-houses in Belgrade but definitively some local news that would be usuful for you to hear.
