Politicians, analysts react to Belgrade violence

Officials and analysts mostly agree today that the police reacted well to <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2008&mm=07&dd=30&nav_id=52306" class="text-link" target= "_blank">hooligan attacks</a> last night.

I’m beginning to think that B92 should Change the slogan to B92- we put the B in rebuttal, as they are not offering the news; they are offering a rebuttal service for the DS party. It seem to me that the ruling elite (Tadic, Jovanovic, Dacic and Canak –best friends for ever “BFF”) are very concerned that a growing number of people are dissatisfied with their failures and incompetencies. To prevent this B92 has provided a number of rebuttals in todays publication The headlines include
Official: Extradition in line with the Law- this article tells us that the person who sent Karadzic to the Hague insists that it was perfectly legal to abduct someone and send him off to a Racist Court.

EC: Karadžić extradition important for Serbia: this article tells us how the fox that Tadic et al BFF want in our henhouse iexplain to us what Serbia needs and wants, regardless of our own oppinions.

Politicians, analysts react to Belgrade violence: this article has every back bencher and Member of Tadic’s Government (BFF Journalist Club) explain to us how 15,000 people are actually the SRS fight club.

Human rights activists react to extradition: more from the BFF fan clubs explaining that It is a step forward for Human rights to treat the accused as the convicted, abduct people, hold them secretly for four days so that the parliament may be suspended, follow statutes that are not in line with the constitutional ban on extradition, and hand the people over to a racist court after the three day appeal proccess expires.

Why Hague Tribunal matters to Holland- explains to the serbs how their oppinions are less important than that of the Dutch, and how Official Serbian policy should reflect this.

Yet not one article has been included with respect to what was said at the protest, and how the man on the street felt.

I'm a foreigner living in Belgrade and watching the events last night...I just want to put a cap on the tactic of tadic and his media and security services control.

The group of Hooligans that came from the rear of the protest and thus started problems with the police and some civilians was a deliberate move by the command, when it actually should have been the opposite. The police tactic should have been to seperate the 80 or so hooligans and force them away from the gathering. Is it not suspect how the police were ordered to drive the violence through the crowd, which could have caused more injury or even death.

This is a tactic which is obviously liked by tadic and therefore will be the order of the day at any future opposition gathering, it will become the norm, so that the majority of Serb analysts and politicians (who are useless anyway) can make the comments seen in this article.

You serbs remind me of the Scottish nobles that allowed other scottish to rape their country.

So when are the police going to start doing their job and track down these thugs and put an end to it instead of allowing them to run free and constantly link them to the protest organisers?

There were tens of thousands of peaceful protesters last night and all we get are the bored Otpor members causing destruction throughout Belgrade with the Police intervening far too late!

This really is predictable and it is designed by the new dictators to silence protests against them! The whole thing was planned with the media like B92 playing its role - in other words, focus on violence and not on free speech!

Soon I expect the dictators to ban opposition protest and the job is almost done!

In these cases, it's sometimes better to read these articles from the bottom up. Here I will repeat the end of it.

But MUP officers did not receive such high marks from one corner: the Independent Association of Journalist (NUNS), whose president, Nadežda Gaće, blamed police as well as organizers for the violence.
