The reason why WWII is still such a topic of conversation in the Balkans - not just Croatia - is because for the region the history of that war was never accurately documented.

Just look at the comment in #2.

Sure, attrocities/genocide happened in the WWII puppet state of Croatia. But attrocities/genocide also happened in the WWII puppet state of Serbia.

...and in the 1990's acts of ethnic cleansing were committed by all sides during the conflict.

History repeats itself and if history is not honest and accurate then the present - and certainly the future - has no hope of seeing these qualities magically manifest themselves.

I think part of the reason is that large parts of Croatia were untouched by war or only had the ethnic Serbs being harassed and cleansed.

Most of the war took place where there was high Serb population and in which the Croatian state was trying to kill and ethnically cleanse them. Many Croats were got out of the area by the government and they sat out the war in hotels or other parts of Croatia.

Most all of the Croats killed were army or police who were away fighting.

The Serb however had 100s of thousands who were permanently ethnically cleansed, so they are almost all still living with the effects today.

Really?

Let me help them out:

WWII: You committed genocide (Jasenovac) and got away with it.

1991-1995 war: You committed genocide (Krajina) and got away with it.

There is nothing wrong with Podravka as long as they don't use Aspartame as ingredient and concentrate on problems how to make better Vegeta/Ajvar/etc. instead of politics.

Otherwise terrific products, we grabbed every opportunity to buy such and similar products from all ex-YU and East Europe during our 15-year stay in the States.

I wonder if the good folks at Podravka asked people about the events that occured in the Medak pocket during the war?

It is not a good idea to mix business with Vegeta and I would like to remind people that there are alternatives to Podravka products.
