A spokesman for the UN mission in Kosovo says that its reconfiguration will start soon.

Re Jovan Jovanovic, well I just suspected but wasn’t sure :-) but thanks, I will remember it well :). Our knowledgeable friend Roberto also promised Albanians his assistance in case Kosovo sue Serbia for war crimes :-))))). Guess that some people just like to feel important.
Btw I recommend you to visit Kosovo, especially divided city of Mitrovica since it is unique experience, at least in my opinion.

I was under impression, you are not living in the northern part of K-M, don't you? How you know the details to that degree?
Can you please provide more details, esp. what kind of jobs did EULEX bring there? I am going to visit it later this year out of curiosity...

For your information, the northern part of the Ibar River is very much under Belgrade's control. If you don't believe me, feel free to visit and check it for yourself. About the organised crime that you are talking about seems no one else is aware but you. The only hard-core criminal that is hiding in Southern part of Mitrovica is Enver Sekiraqa, an Albanian of course. That is how UNIMK reports anyway and I did not read in UNMIK's report anything about organised crime in North.

let me tell you something guys. reconfiguration will see transformation of UNMIK which means taking in EULEX in one of its pillars. that is one. then the powers of police and justice will be transferred laterally to EULEX. but the UN umbrella will still be UNMIK pursuant to UNSCR 1244. some chosen UNMIK police will change their insignia and transform themselves to EULEX. in this manner UNMIK has been reconfigured or transformed or reorganized. does it make sense? RECONFIGURATION in webster dictionary is REORGANIZATION, RESTRUCTURING, etc. BUT NOT CLOSING

NO, it is too late and too little, Russia can only delay certain thing for few months BUT NOT STOP anything...

Reconfiguration means closing down the mission in most of the cases. However I think that this reconfiguration will take sometime to happen since the conditions are not met yet.
In north of Mitrovica EULEX is already present and visible for those that want to see it. Population in the north has nothing against EULEX, since EULEX brings them jobs( what they don’t have at the moment), jobs bring money, money brings prosperity ... the only ones that oppose EULEX in North of Mitrovica are Jaksic. If you look closely you will notice that Serbia government is paying no attention to this guys. At the moment nowone control’s the north of Mitrovica, not Kosovo Institutions nor Serbia, UNMIK nor EULEX, it is left in the hand of organsied crime intentionally, to satisfy the large number of radicals in Serbia proper, but just for the moment. Time will come when Serbs will choose to talk to EULEX and their institutions in the government of Kosova.
