All these disagreements among the Serbs and political parties in Serbia just go to show that "Camo Cloga Cerbina Cpasava" ain't working, is it? Because from where I am standing it looks less and less like any form of unity.

God bless ...

Richard Z, yes they voted for Tadic, but that was before they found out what he was going to do.

I wonder how many would change their vote now if they could. We'll see what happens to him at the next election. Something tells me that he will lose his support base very quickly.

It is really strange how the Radicals members and supporters know how much the population in Serbia is dissatisfied and it is incredible how much, when we listen to them, they know how to solve all those problems and how they are protecting and wishing to bring Serbia in a better situation. Since the campaign and still today, more than 2 months after the elections, they are speaking of Kosovo.. they are still saying the same things they were saying in the last 6-7 months. Today, their speech changed a bit, they have a war criminal to protect. I would like to know exactely what the SRS are planning to do to improve the salaries of all those families that are 2 children and more and earning 300 Euros monthly. I would like to know what is their program so the average family in Serbia can have more bread on the table in the morning. The situation in Serbia has a lot in common with the unchanging Africans countries. There are people that will lose power when the country will modernise itself, when the country will be consider on a more international perspective. Those people are peoples like the radicals. Their days are counted and they are using the card of populism to try to stop the change. What changed since the fall of Communism? Serbia has done nothing but to fall deeper and deeper. The possibility to enter on the European Union is the only positive change that is at the serbian doors right now. In every countries in the world, the changed were always blocked by the so called patriots and nationalists. What the DSS-NS and SRS are doing can't be called Patriotism since they are destroying their country more than they build it. They are simple Nationalists-Extremists and they are facing to disappear since the population so far chose to take the risk of the European Union.

We can be sure that these "All Serb" won't have the support of all serbs, as most of them voted for Tadic. This again shows they were right to do so.

Even though I initially liked the idea of an "All-Serb" Rally to show Tadic and others the dissatisfaction I believe is growing, not only in Beograd, but throughout Srbija- well, as a veteran of many pro-Serb rallies here in the US, I've found that little is truly accomplished. Yes, you feel good for a day or so, but the reality is that most rallies or demonstrations are of little consequence for change. The Serbian opposition (to Tadic, Dacic, etc) has to be well thought-out and structured. Would "non-compliance" or strikes have more of an effect on these politicians or foreign agitators than rallies? Would mass protest mailings to the parliament and MUP's work better or have a longer term effect? Loyal Serbs need to be clever and figure out ways and methods to peacefully protest, YET effectively cause headaches and problems for those that act against true Serbian interests- and Serbs are the only ones in the entire world who will stand up for Serbian interests. Rallies are only temporary headaches for those seeking their own adgendas. So Serbs, be smart, be clever, and persevere- if you are steadfast in your values, beliefs and heritage.....then you WILL succeed and you won't have to worry about others manipulating, provoking, or misrepresenting your actions and deeds.

An "all-Serb" rally is quite obviously just a figure of speech, nothing to do with "exclusivity" or any such nonsense.

it's a ridiculously worn out and redundant figure of speech too. We are currently witnessing the ultimate desperation and hysteria on the part of the SRS and the rest of the self-proclaimed patriotic ilk, their days are numbered, soon they'll have nothing whatever to do, they are so gone...mark my words...

He added that the SRS would not allow “the secret services and hooligans sent by Tadić to cause any incidents, and distract media attention away from the rally.”

Well said. B92 caught an agent on video and it's very strange that he has yet to be arrested. He is wearing a badge/ID that should make it extremely easy to identify him along with a clear view of his face.

There are some things I really do not get. logical things.
First, all political parties insist and shout that UNSC Resolution 1244 has to be respected and it constitutes the only valid intl law legal instrument concerning the Kosovo issue. Totally agree.
But why when it comes to apply intl law in what concerns ICTY's indictments which basically have as a legal base UNSC Resolution 827/1993 (itself disputed by some with whom personally I agree, but already accepted by Serbia), SRS starts all this mumbo jumbo? A rally would not make any difference, a rally is just political opportunism.
Maybe I am wrong, but why pro-SRS or pro-Karadžić people don't focus on the structure of the sharade being pulled by everybody (and i mean everybody) like UNSC Resolution 1800/2008 which on the apparently just another day of 20 february 2008 approved, at the request of the President of ICTY, the appointment of additional ad litem judges when nothing was suggesting that Karadžić will be caught (after all he managed to stay low for 13 yrs) and the first instance trials of at least three, Haradinaj, baradinaj and Oric, were about to be finished?
I mean, According to UNSC Resolution 1503/2003, ICTY has to complete all first instance trial activities by 2008 and complete all work in 2010, so are they running out of time? Well, if Mladic goes down in the next year, something will really start to smell.

What is the definition of a Serb when the big issue of "all serb rally". Will all those who are serbs but not radical in their views will also join this rally?

Mr. Albanian, if Serbs want to be exclusive, that is better than becoming terrorists under some religious fanatism. I hope you agree with me.

sounds like a clowns parade, which is protected by SRS. good opportunity to film them and to compare, if these are the same people which looted the US embassy - and to catch them, of course.

I regret not being able to come to the rally. I can't afford the plane ticket and I have to work at my american job on Tuesday so that I can pay my outrageous bills and avoid having to live in the streets. That is what Serbia has to look forward to when it joins the EU. Best wishes to the ALL SERB participants.

Mike

This has an enormous risk of backfiring on them. The SRS gets the most votes and has the most credibility when they act as a regular populist party. Once they adopt the nationalist mantle, that support base evaporates real quick. And DSS-NS really needs to think about whethere or not they want to dig themselves deeper into all of this.

Well, i don`t believe they will be able to control their hooligans this time. It will be probably just another violent riot.
