sorry, but who is Kostunica? the one, who devided Serbia already between his party and SRS? the one, who caused last elections? the one, who is responsible for the most miserable year of Serbia since the end of the Milosevic era?

... and now he is supporting right wing hooligans who try to destablize public order? are we are talking about the same statesman, the same Kostunica?

This protest is the last hope for a democratic Serbia. The betrayed members of the SPS should massively participate and show what they think of the direction of this party.

As far as I’m concerned, Haradinaj and Oric were released by the ICTY just because of lack of evidence against them. If anyone have any clear proof of the involvement of these men with war crimes against humanity, like genocide, present them to the international courts. The fact is that no one can be condemned without clear accusation and evidences to prove it.

bmrusila, What compelled you to say, "We don’t know whether Karadzic is guilty or not." By all means, condemn The Hague, and argue that Gospodin Dabic should not be tried there -- it lost credibility a long time ago with the Limaj acquittal even before the Oric and Haradinaj outrages. But we don't need a trial to prove that Karadzic is a war criminal. There is plenty of documentary evidence that he was the leader of the snipers of Sarajevo and the architect of the massacre at Srbrenica.

I am not upset about the DSS decision, as others have said, they are only showing their true face. And this will only confirm their slide to political oblivion. I'm only ashamed to admit that I once supported them.

This is not just about non-deportation. I am sure that there would be no problems with extradition if the court in Hague did not loose its credibility by setting free Haradinaj and Oric, and many other involved in atrocities against the Serbs. Since this court proved to be partial and very biased with the only function to continue its anti-Serb policy and further demonization of the Serbs, we have all rights in this earth to oppose such mistreatment.

We don’t know whether Karadzic is guilty or not, not yet and thus we should presume him innocent until proven guilty. He is certainly not any angel but he deserves to get fair trial and defence himself. I am sure that indictment against him is over exaggerated as it happened with many indictees of Serb nationality. Thus some solution must be found. If trial in Belgrade is out of the question then there must be some third and possibly non biased country involved. Perhaps, Serbia should lobby for that kind of solution and represent the facts about this kangaroo court in Hague. Third country involved can be any country that had objective and neutral stance in regard to Serbia and ex Yu. The prosecutors and judges can be from that country. That would be, I think, quite fair.

Political parties in Serbia are allowed to express their opinion on this matter and thanks God that we live in a free country that allows us to express ourselves wherever we want. What I expect from these political parties is to distance themselves from violent hooligans and somehow, if possible, make an appeal to restrain from violence as tool of reaching goals. It is in no one’s interest to incite the violence as the people may get hurt badly.

Finally the “democratic” DSS and the “new” NS are showing their true face, supporting the non-deportation of Karadzic.

Once again Nikolic has exposed the programme of the DS Collaborators and once again the Kostunica and Illic have stood up to be counted, regardless of consequences.

These three gentleman are Serbia's best political hope

Here they are finally disclosing themselves totally. Mr Kostunica you today, yesterday Milosevic, Seselj and Arkan. All the "great Serbs" who Serbia really wants to throw into rubbish. Serbia does not have any more time to loose patience with characters like you: hope your friends demonstation will be peeacful, if you repeat February, you will be tonight in jail. Hope you will not choose that road.

I am disappointed by the DSS decision (not by NS though) to support these kinds of activities. Furthermore, it is highly disturbing to propagate for pro-Serbian policy on the streets with the hooligans. I was thinking that by being in opposition there is a still great chance to stand up for what the one think is right for Serbia.

I agree that our government do flirt with the EU way too much and sometimes makes steps that are not in best interests of Serbia, but come on, street is not the place for solving the problems.

I would like if this was the true right form Mr Kostunica's mouth. This could be some of Mladenovic’s empty and stupid threats.

Mladenović hit the nail right on the head with those comments and I'm glad the opposition are doing a fine job.

Lets see how many SPS politicians attend the protests.

So the DSS/NS will join the SRS protests? They are indeed poor losers. Let's hope that if they attempt to assault journalists, threaten free speech or parliamentary democracy they are further punished by the voters and dealt with by the authorities
