Kovacevic and the representative of the Serbian government in America agreed by signing bail that Kovacevic would return to court for his trial date. By fleeing to Serbia he has not only proven himself to be a coward, but also that he is NOT a man of his word, as he clearly violated his agreement with the United States.

1) What happened was at the State, no Federal level. There wasn't any agreement with USA. You can argue about local State only. American justice system is somewhat to used to - this is just a minor sample.

2) You (or anyone) wouldn't be called "coward" doing the same. Again, American justice system is a very special animal. If same happens in any other "Western" country, I won't object him being tried there. But, again, American justice system is a disgrace to itself. Wish, somewhat like in other civilized country would be used. Currently it is not to be trusted.

If you want to research about a Swiss-American child from Colorado who with the help of his grandmother did the same, you are welcome. Luckily, the case ended up in an international scandal and Colorado prosecutor had to shut up.
