Abdul Aziz, Kosovo is not a Muslim country if that is what you are trying to imply.
Kosovo is a country of everybody living there. We (Albanians) have three religions so why would you correlate Albanians and Islam in one sentence.
Albanians have fought and died in the freedom wars against all invaders as Albanians. Not Muslim, Catholic or Orthodox Albanians. Aziz, Albanians have died. Albanians have been massacred by Serbian paramilitaries in Kosovo, not Muslim or Catholic Albanians.
So Abdul Aziz, when you talk about Albanians please do not put the weight you have been putting so far to the religion.
I have said in numerous cases, I am Catholic but every Muslim and Orthodox Albanian is my brother/sister.
Also Aziz, since “we are a Muslim nation – as you put it”, where is the Muslim help (Muslim Countries)? Where is their recognition of the “new Muslim State” then?
Please Aziz, in the future refer to us “as a nation”, not a religious entity. We have had enough of that labelling (and still do) from the Serbian politicians.

What a ridiculous threat.

These arrogant comments, frequently found on this site, never cease to amaze me.
Are they symptomatic of the writer's immaturity or lack of knowledge?

The US Constitution guarantees its citizens freedom of speech without retribution. We are free to agree to disagree without being threatened.

I, born and raised in the US, am not anti-American when I disagree with policies and decisions made by local, state or federal governmental agencies.

As I mentioned in a previous blog -- not only have I been to Vojvodina but I am currently here RIGHT NOW !!!
I was very disturbed by the graffiti at the Catholic church in Pancevo and the anit-nazi rally that almost took place in Zrenjanin.

You have no idea what so ever what is welcomed in any of the communities here in Vojvodina other than the Serb community and please keep Toroczkai out of this -- we have nothing to do with him and we don't even mention him here -- and furthermore Serbia is the one with the wanted radical and war crimes fugitives and nobody else.

you walk around the US trying to portray yourself as a good US citizen but then you come here on the blogs with another face -- remember the US passport you got less than 20 years ago can also be easily revoked for you anti-US stance, I can help make that happen if you like ???

Zoran, if you really think that Serbia is interested in more wars -- think again, and think about what happened in the last 4 wars ??? We do not need bloodshed anymoe anywhere --enough is enough.

Nobody is interested to humiliate the Serbs, everybody just wants FREEDOM and the ability to choose what they want and not have Beograd give orders to everyone!!!

By welcoming our politicians, President Bush has made us loose our fear, enabled us to be more generous toward all people living in Kosovo and neighbouring countries, to reach the hand to thoose who hated us, and he gave us hope and power to face all challenges laying before.

Freedom,

You are a funny joker. I am sure the Hungarians want to be rewarded for being US stooges, but Serbs are a clear majority in Vojvodina and it will NEVER become some independent state. If you think that after all the recent humiliations Serbs have lost their will and ability to fight then you are very very wrong.

Ataman:

I don't think anyone denies that Thaci has done some "shady" things in the past. He allegedly had ties to organized crime, and accepted such support in funding the KLA. But there's two things to keep in mind. Firstly, even criminals (like members of organized crime) can make positive contributions to society. If Al Capone wanted to donate $1 million to cancer research or to construct an orphanage for children, that doesn't mean those children advocate organized crime. Instead, it's better to take such money and put it to a good cause. Sure, Thaci welcomed support for the KLA from wherever it came, even from those shady links of his. But the goal was the liberation of Kosova, which was worthwhile at that.

Secondly, Thaci acknowledges that he has had a shady past in some respects. But he believes he did what he had to do for his country, and has no regrets. (Also remember that the "organ harvesting" claims are blown way out of proportion, with no evidence available to prove any such thing happened. This is mostly a Serb publicity stunt aimed at ruining the Kosovars' reputation).

I am not a communist, nor do I support communists. But I will recall a quote from my history professor's Croatian father-in-law: "If you're not a communist when you're young, you've got no heart. If you're still a communist when you're old, you've got no brain."

Fredom, please name a few of "your" politicians whom you expect to become the "leaders" of Independent Vojvodina. I have strong impression, you live in an other geographic area and actually never been in Vojvodina. If you think, quetzalcoatl is welcomed in any Hungarian community, you are terribly wrong.

Otherwise the only one whom you may think of is the neo-nazi László Toroczkai who while being Hungarian citizen has family roots in the area. At this point, Mr. Toroczkai has legal problems even to visit any neighbor country of Hungary, he was banned not just from Serbia, Romania, Slovakia - but also from Canada

http://tinyurl.com/63k436

and he is facing legal issues in Hungary itself due his role in Budapest riots of 2006.

If you in Kosovo do like this guy, fine with me, please take him from us, good riddance.

But wait... please read it again, what happened in Canada:

"Police examined his computer for hours and questioned him about what he was doing in Kosovo recently and why he has come into conflict with Hungarian authorities."

Hmm.... do not know, what to say about that.

Abdul,

I would not say "Albanians" but rather "Albanian leadership". Individually, the majority of population is a different thing than the leadership and some "mature" commenters on B92. Many are very decent, hard-working people with strong code of honor.

But Albanians indeed had some very unfortunate political alliances and very strange leaders.

Mark,

As far as thaci, he is the "snake/serpent" part of the quetzalcoatl, the Aztec feathered serpent god, while ceku is the "feathered" part. Qutzalcoatl demanded human sacrifices and internal organs of the victim being cut off. This is why the "snake" or "pigeon" nickname.

There is nothing to learn from quetzalcoatl. They are disgrace of Albanian nation, a shame, war criminals, fascists, communists and such. Much like enver hoxha.

We should not forget, quetzalcoatl is one of the very few leaders on Balkans with true Marxist-Leninist background:

http://tinyurl.com/5c3c73

I am surprised, so many of Albanians who post here are firm Communist supporters. So is bush. This shows the "strong" backbone and the "high morale" of these criminals - turned - politicians, bush and cheney included.

We know, what true marxist-leninist leaders are capable of - organ harvesting is not a surprise.

The idea of using certain names with small letters is coming from a literature masterpiece which is a mandatory reading material in both Hungary and Serbia - "Pál utcai fiúk" ("The boys from the Pál street"). So it's "bush", "cheney" and "quetzalcoatl" like "nemecsek".

To all who incorrectly use Thaci's codename:

He was given the codename "Snake" because of his ability to elude capture. He was never captured, and that's how the nickname came to be. You are taking it out of context and using it incorrectly to imply that he is "sinister" or "evil" like the Biblical serpent. This is not true.

Kosova President Fatmir Sejdiu and Kosova Prime Minister Thaci are genuinely appreciative of the United States' support. Bush isn't their master, but instead more like a benefactor that represents his country's support for these leaders' newborn nation. Were they Serb leaders, they might bite the hand that feeds them. But they're not. They're Albanian leaders of Kosova that appreciate those that help them and stay true to their allies - something that Serbian leadership could learn a lot from!

There's been a hesitation of B92 to report on this historic meeting between the Kosova and the US.

I think Serbia is signaling that it wants to join the EU with the latest arrest, but as a pre-condition it will have to accept the reality on the ground, that Kosova is independent.

I find the timing of the arrest as very carefully orchestrated by the Serbian government and that Belgrade is playing it's last 'poker chips towards the EU.

Never the less, the US are expressing their full support to an independent Kosova and the division issue was made pretty clear in President Bush's statement:

But they're not. They're Albanian leaders of Kosova that appreciate those that help them and stay true to their allies - something that Serbian leadership could learn a lot from!

"God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States -- a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject!" May I name one? Kosovo! (By the way, who said that about Bush?!)

-- Hey Ataman --

Nobody is interested to humiliate the Serbs, everybody just wants FREEDOM and the ability to choose what they want and not have Beograd give orders to everyone!!!

bush who was elected to his second term primarily by american-serbian minority in the state of ohio, has stabed them in the back. He has turned out to be the worst president in modern history.

"I love the picture, hopefully sooner rather than later we will see our future Vojvodina political leaders in this same position -- meeting with the US president as an Independent Vojvodina.
(Freedom, 22 July 2008 21:16)"
