With all due respect to those innocent among the Serb victims of Srebrenica, the article was pretty clear about the ethnicity of victims' recovered from this mass grave. Personal effects and ID cards clearly prove they were Bosniaks, and more specifically they have been already linked by the forensic team to the Kravica mass execution.

Secondly, to say that "The team exhumed two complete and 64 incomplete skeletons" means there were only two bodies in the grave is misleading. In the Srebrenica related mass graves the body parts are NOT usually parts of the same, one skeleton broken up (body parts in the form of 15 skulls and 40 femurs do not add up to 2-3 persons). They are mostly parts of different, multiple skeletons that got mixed up during the transport from sites where they had been originally buried to the so-called secondary, sometimes tertiary sites. The bodies were moved using heavy machinery and the perpetrators did not care much about keeping the integrity of the (already rather decomposed) bodies, hence the high level of bone commingling in the graves. Yes, the 64 "parts" could be from just several dead, but also from 100 different individuals, and the latter has proven more probable in the case of Srebrenica genocide sites. Also, some media do wrongly (ignorantly) report on the number of recovered bodies like “64 body parts=64 individuals”, when this is not necessarily true.

It is correct to say that there are still body parts which haven't been matched and identified, but to imply that the reason for this is that the bodies recovered from mass graves from around Srebrenica were Serbs from the WWII is factually incorrect and malicious. First of all, forensic anthropologists and archaeologists working in Bosnia are, in most cases, able of differentiating between the bodies/graves from the WWI or WWII and the recent war. In addition, body parts too contain DNA information and can be “identified” separately. For this reason, although “only” around 3,200 of the estimated 8,000 Srebrenica genocide victims have been buried in the Potocari Memorial Center, additional 2,400 victims (i.e. their body parts: skull, femur, tooth, etc) have been identified, which brings the total of positively identified Srebrenica genocide victims to around 5,600. When more body parts are found in the future they will be added to the already identified body parts, reassociated and properly buried.

And yes, roberto, the perpetrators and all those supporting them in any way should all be ashamed.

Peace.

First off, these are unidentified remains are often found in places Serbs were killed by Naser Oric's 28th brigade, not inside the city of Srebrenica.

Secondly these are only 2 skeletons and the rest are called 64 parts. From another source/write up of the news: "The team exhumed two complete and 64 incomplete skeletons."

But the parts are usually parts of the same skeleton broken up.

The 64 "parts" could be from just several dead.

There are many of these bags of parts which haven't been matched and identified with any Bosnian Muslim. They are likely Serbs and/or old bodies from WWII or WWI era.

You have to ask yourself, why does no one bother to comment about a mass grave with bits and pieces of 66 human beings?

we all, rightly, are still horrified at what the German Nazis did, and yet with these unspeakable crimes, there is complete and utter silence.

it is how low we have all traveled -- we should all feel great shame. humanity can be a very ugly thing, indeed.
