"If that is the case, than K-Albanians should cut off water pipes that are going through K-Albanian properties into Gračanica.
(Ahmet Isufi, 17 July 2008 14:09)"

my dear Ahmed, Albanians have absolutely no say at all.

the vital decision are being made by others. you should know that... or you are not honest to yourself.

to USA:

of course the Serbs do mostly offer facts and references to their comments, that´s not so difficult if you are on the right side, USA! you know, Serbia is on the right side, Serbia has international law, moral and history - and these are very strong arguments!

on the other side, you will certainly have seen how our albanian friends are showing up here: they only have lousy accusations, or they are belittling everything that doesn´t serve their ( greater albanian ) cause... and having read their comments here for quite a while I must say they are so far away from reality... it´s just entertainment reading them!

> No to stop to teh police is a CRIME

The motivation behind the actions of the occupants of the 2nd vehicle were probably criminal.

But the same cannot be said about the 40 or so K-albanians who then joined in on the attack of the 2 police.

Would not have happened if the police were K-albanian, but this was not the case.

They were serbs.

Which makes that attack cowardly, brutal & ethnically motivated.

> Not to allow a WATER pipeline for your neighbors is RACISM.

Not to allow your neighbours access to a pipeline you are building past their properties might well be termed RACIST (your terminology).

To then protest against this pipeline is merely human.

The purpose of the post by 'Nehat Krasniqi' above was to bring into question the truthfulness of the article & in that way lessen the adverse impact such a story would have on public opinion.

'Condemnation' was nothing but a preface & was conditional to boot.

And while I agree with you regarding the caution that must be exercised with regard to these stories, most of the time it doesn't take much to check them out.

In this case a simple google search was all that was necessary to throw up a second 'K-albanian' source.

If 'Nehat Krasniqi' was really as concerned as you think, could easily have done the same.

Didn't.

Cees:
BKK was just trying to clear up a point of confusion raised in 'Ahmet Isufi's reply to 'kufr' with the 1st link he provided.

As for what he/she said in relation to the 2nd link, that is perfectly accurate.

Judging by your comment, your english is pretty good, so look at the sentence again.

... after a [Ukrainian policeman died from [wounds suffered in [clashes with [Kosovo Serbs in Mitrovica]]]].

You owe him/her an apology.

> The international Red Cross published the number of killed K.Albanians: 10.258, and not 5.000 (incl. Serbs), which one of you tried to make us believe.

Tried to find this on the ICRC website to confirm but couldn't, which was surprising given the specific nature of the number.

Do you have a credible reference or a link?

Cees,

At least read the comments posted before entering a discussion.
Go back and read what Ahmet said, then read what I said.

I would hope comprehension would come easy thereafter, since we're both being quite clear in what we're saying.

It is annoying and unproductive if we have to repeat everything twice as a result of certain individuals not being bothered to read what has been written before making comments.

this shows there will never be peace in Kosovo. The UN will be there for a long time yet. I recently watch a programme about Albania on UK tv, You Albanians are better off being part of Serbia.

BKK,

thank you for the link to the BBC-article in which the first sentence says: "French Nato troops have fired warnings shots, hours after a Ukrainian policeman died from wounds suffered in clashes with Kosovo SERBS in Mitrovica".
If you like to make propaganda, learn the rules at first, now you are just blaming your-self. It is the same with the Bulgarian-case, which happened directly after the war in October 1999 and not in 2008. I've read a lot of propagande-tricks from the Serbian side, if you are interested, read my article: "the Battle for Kosovo on the Internet" on www.ethnography.com.
Some Serb-opponents call it lies, other half-truths or manipulated dates, which at the other hand are called facts from the Serbian side. The international Red Cross published the number of killed K.Albanians: 10.258, and not 5.000 (incl. Serbs), which one of you tried to make us believe.
I hope that one day a majority of Serbs are coming on the level of knowledge and acceptance of the reality of the past, which in these days only a small group of your nation is doing. Peace to them, because I know, how hard it is to keep their stand in the Serbian society.

I would like to thank all of the Serb supporters on this site who are always able to list facts supporting their stance. It helps substantiate all of the positions taken. I would encourage you all to continue doing so, especially with sources that are non-Serbian since many Albanian supporters claim propaganda when Serbian opinions are expressed. Continue on with the good work and spread the truth, since Serbs have done a poor job in doing so over the past 15 years. The world needs to understand the truth about Kosovo and we all can help spread the truth. I can only hope that the international press pays attention to every crime that will be uncovered over the months and years to come.

I agree with Nehat, he's CLEARLY a moderate who knows the difference between right and wrong. Thank you for condemning attacks against our population.

I also agree that in general, we should be cautious before jumping the gun. Many of these initial reports contain errors.

The 2004 riots were caused by people jumping the gun before all the facts were in.

We all must keep a cool head.

Ahmet Isufi,

It was a Bulgarian UN worker on his FIRST day on the job and was SHOT DEAD by ALBANIANS for answering a question in a 'wrong language'.

From BBC News.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/472080.stm

Equaly Ukranian soldier was NOT ''killed by the Serb'', he dies from injuries sustained in riots.

Get your facts straight before you even attempt to go Serb bashing.
It makes your argument look even worse when you don't bother to check at least what is reported.

Have noticed before that when a story like this comes up, usually get someone saying "if this is true ... however ..." & then some excuse.

Is a rather transparent propaganda technique designed to divert attention away from, & discredit the story in question.

And is probably what 'Nehat Krasniqi' had in mind with the following post:

> If this is true, then this should be condemned by all, however i think an investigation should be launched to this claim as the serbs have lied in the past on such issues and they turned out to be lies

The following is a link to the same story as reported by a K-albanian media source:

http://www.balkaninsight.com/en/main/news/11867/

No 'investigation' needed 'Nehat Krasniqi'.

As for the story itself...

One assumes that the occupants of the other vehicle were in some way associated with the first vehicle (a truck suspected of carrying smuggled petrol) - as 'normal' people don't usually attack police - ie: all criminals.

However what is especially troubling is that either they were able to call up a 'bus-load' of 40 people at short notice in support, or that a 'passing bus-load of 40 people' would spontaneously stop & join in the attack on the police.

Either way, this points the finger at the local K-albanian population of 'Suvi Do' which has been involved in numerous 'incidents' involving aggression & violence in the past.

And only serves to strengthen the stance taken by K-serbs in the north - for how can any serb in the region now have any trust in those 'guaranteed rights' of theirs.

Nehat,

Just because you and others can't accept the truth. . .doesn't make it a lie.

What other claims have the Serbs "lied" about as you suggest?

Is it. . .

* The destruction of over 130 Serbian churches and monasteries?
* The murder of defenseless Serbian civilians both young and old at the hands of Albanian extremists?
* The kidnap, torture and organ removal of Serbian civilians?

You, I and everyone here know that these events are fact!

I will however outline some distortions of the truth to make you feel better.

Ready?

* The staged Racak "massacre" where dead KLA terrorists were dressed as civilians
* The claim that over 10,000 Albanians were killed during the war when the UN estimates that approximately 5,000 Albanians AND Serbs were killed
* That Serbs chased four Albanian boys into a river where they drowned though NATO Police spokesman Derek Chappell stated on March 16, 2004 that it was "definitely not true"
* That the U.S.-sponsored 'frankenstate' is actually independent!

ALL LIES! LIES! LIES! LIES!

So Nehat before you judge others. . .look at yourself! I imagine that you're not going to like what you see.

Just stop it, Nehat. Albanians can't stand to hear anything bad about their own people, why? Why is a lie always suspected? You know that Serbs and Albanains can't stand each other, no matter how much this multi-ethnic society baloney is jammed down their throats by the West, so such an occurrence is certainly believeable. So now it's time for Serbs to beat up some Albanians, and the cycle just keeps going. Partition now, it's the only thing that may bring some peace.

With regard to March 17, will not go over that again as have already answered this exhaustively. Will merely provide a link to relevant post (#35):

http://xs4.b92.net/eng/news/comments.php?nav_id=48616

I invite you to answer ALL of the many questions I asked regarding this issue, although I doubt that you will - your only real desire is to divert attention away from the topic at hand.

Which you never even bothered addressing.

No to stop to teh police is a CRIME

Not to allow a WATER pipeline for your neighbors is RACISM.

Two stories in one in this article.

It makes your argument look even worse when you don't bother to check at least what is reported.

ben,
Please look up the word 'racism' in the dictionary. Thanks.

I can only hope that the international press pays attention to every crime that will be uncovered over the months and years to come.

this shows there will never be peace in Kosovo. The UN will be there for a long time yet. I recently watch a programme about Albania on UK tv, You Albanians are better off being part of Serbia.

Cees,

At least read the comments posted before entering a discussion.
Go back and read what Ahmet said, then read what I said.

I would hope comprehension would come easy thereafter, since we're both being quite clear in what we're saying.

It is annoying and unproductive if we have to repeat everything twice as a result of certain individuals not being bothered to read what has been written before making comments.

ben:

Matthew:
