Police release Zaječar death-threat suspects

2 men arrested after they threatened journalists reporting from a crime scene in Zaječar were released last night.

This is absolutely outrageous, but not surprising sadly.

The entire Balkans are like this.

I remember visiting my cousins last year, and my cousin got verbally assaulted by a Serbian man calling my cousin a "Montenegrin Bastard" who "Kept my family in concentration camps", anyways..he was mentally unstable, but the thing that really surprised me was the fact that there was a police officer sitting down at a table right beside us when the ensuing fight occurred.

He was simply unwilling to do anything, and i was forced to pull my cousin away from all of this, it was an absolute circus.

Surprise? not me! I was 16 days in jail for not-registering within 24 hours with the local polic. (17-06-2008 till 03-07-2008). And so I am not surprised becasue not only the police and the court systems in Serbia are totally corrupt ALSO the journalists are weak persons. I have NOTHING read about my case as a foreigner put between Serbian criminals in jail what never happened before for this small offense!. Maybe B92 a little weak also?
