Refreshing article. By reading daily news regarding Serbokosovar relations and occasionally looking through the reaction posted by some readers, one easily gets the impression that today's Kosova is a place of division between two groups, Albanians and non-Albanians, without any possibility of reconciliation.

Inside stories like this give a totally different image.

Luxkily, they are more relevant and true than any comment from citizens of the UK, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Germany etc. posted here and encouraging fears and prejudices between Kosova population.

I am happy to hear that the Serbian girls can run her private business in her town Pristina.

very happy to hear that Kosovars can get the medical assistance in Belgrade.

Curious the fact that you can travel in Kosova with Serbian car but not vice-versa.

The conclusion is that the gov.t of Belgrade is making problems as much as it can and depicting the situation in Kosova in black were actually the reality is quite different. Note that in the northern Mitrovica ppl do not like to be taken pictures- maybe because many of them are not from Mitrovica? But you don't have this problem in the rest of Kosova.

Again, Belgrtade is manipulating the K-Serbs in this case in northern Mitrovica and creating bureaucratic problems to the neighboring state Kosova.

Interesting to see in the original BBC article that the Prishtina coach was described by as comfortable, air conditioned and with friendly passengers, whereas the north Mitrovica one was old, hot, uncomfortable and full of surly passengers. Just a snapshot of the differences between the two places there. Very appropriately, B92 failed to include this part of the original article in their report.

if you knew a little bit more about english - you wouldn´t have written that naive comment about George´s remark ( in regard to GASoline ).

next time, take a look into a dictionary, before trying to be funny.

good night!

Ummm, I think George is referring to gasoline.

And for the record have you ever heard of LPG? Liquified Petroleum Gas. Technically -yes some people fill their cars with gas too.

So what you're saying George is beneath the rhetorical brouhaha we get from talking heads in office, life has remained the same for lots of people. Makes perfect sense to me too.

Mike, There nothing new with this artical. For years Albanians and other(all over Yugoslavia) went to Belgrad for medical treatment. That also the same with Serbs going to Kosovo to full the cars with gas!!

God bless!!!

Some, such as an elderly Albanian traveling with a sick son, "had been receiving treatment for serious conditions, which they could not get in Kosovo".

It was a subject of water cooler gossip in BG that the wealthiest K Albanians all receive medical treatment at the VA hospital in BG. Apparently if its good enough for the Patriarch, it's good enough for them.
