Six die in Polish bus crash in Vojvodina

Six people have been killed in an accident on the Belgrade-Novi Sad highway this morning.

Another source says they were tourists returning from a holiday in Bulgaria and that there are 30 injured:

Police said 68 people were on the bus when the accident happened at about 7 a.m. (0500GMT) on the road between the capital, Belgrade, and the northern city of Novi Sad.

Serbian state television reported the tourists were returning to Poland from a holiday in Bulgaria.

The Belgrade emergency clinic reported that five people were killed. In Novi Sad, the local hospital said about 30 injured had been brought in, most of them teenagers.

The hospital said seven people were in serious condition and that more injured were being brought in.
