ZK much of that information out there is not to be trusted. As well as being cynical of the mainstream, you might well be sceptical of alternative viewpoints as well. That is my approach at least.

Unfortunately could not open that page you sent but I would ask you what his theory has to do with Serbia and how previous governments, led by Vojislav Kostunica, prevented this corrupt flow of money into Serbia?

If Kostunica did not try to prevent this from happening then what would be the point in voting for him? In short how come we did not see this 'freedom' you spoke of under Kostunica? Or perhaps I missed it...

bganon, do you always want everything handed to you on a silver platter? Use the internet my friend, there is a whole lot of information out there.

Here is a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dmPchuXIXQ

But this is just the tip of the iceberg. How is money created? Who controls it? Why are they so interested in Serbia?

My mentor is a man who was at the top of a tier one bank (those just below the central banks) and the link above was provided by him. He is now retired after 3 decades of service so I think he has a good insight in the system.

OK ZK and your contribution to my understanding of the global financial system is to say 'slavery'.

Oh yeah I understand what you mean now :)

If you have any other pearls to help my understanding, just make sure you keep using emotive words - that way we won't have to engage our brains too much!

And perhaps ZK you will understand one day that there is no such thing as 'freedom' in a Serbian political context, or even in a personal one.

Its just another word banded about that might make us feel better, but bears no semblence to reality.

However, under Communism the word freedom had a particular attraction, even though there was none, except ironically, the freedom to travel and to increase one's spending. Values that I assume you believe lead to 'slavery' (another black / white concept).

Everybody needs to welcome the new government. After all majority have voted for it. It's democratically elected.
If Socialists decided to form a coallition with Radicals and DSS, everybody would need to welcome that government too, and for the same reasons. Democratically elected and will of the majority.
So, no maximum support to the government.
As for these fellows, they are congratulating, and that is a nice gesture, and nothing more.
It is somewhat disappointing that Solana is not hiding what kind of relationship with Serbia EU has in mind.

"“The EU expects the new government to push reforms and fulfill the conditions required for further EU integration. It also expects to work closely with the government in terms of regional stability and development,” the EU official said."

EU expects the new governmant to push reforms and fulfill conditions, etc.
EU expects, without any obligations toward Serbia. They on their part don't need to fullfill anything toward Serbia, and Serbia can't "expect" anything from them.
Dissappointing.

I understand - you support a government but are uncertain where it may lead - so you wait and see - quietly.

Winning a battle on the narrow path to freedom is worth celebrating whereas the broad path to slavery is one that many quietly follow.

One day you may understand that. But it will be too late for most.

ZK UK,

Tadic won the majority of the vote. What more do you need? Even though this governent is the same as any other in Serbia, due to chauvism and land propaganda, Tadic's government will at least promote EU integration despite the EU fully supporting kosovo independence.

Remember Tadic won even without the help of Koshtunica.

ZK,

Don't judge the caravan by dog's barking. Let it walk a substantial distance and let it judge than. If they fail to show some substantial results, than we will point the fingers. IMHO DS has true ammunition but SRS only loud fireworks. But I could be wrong.

ZK I don't think something should be congratulated before its even done anything.

It would be like congratulating somebody purely for their words rather than their actions. You should know that is not my style by now.

Don't get me wrong, its a relief not to have a government that would make a bad economic situation worse and would lose Kosovo forever, but the avoidance of the worst case scenario is only that.

I dare say that you are right about the patriotic block though. They would ride the wave in triumph then come crashing down, blame everybody else (Europe, the world, Serb traitors etc) and keep supporting the same political option at whatever the cost! We've seen it before.

No wonder they are constantly dissatisfied with both fellow Serbs and foreign governments.

The true friends of Serbia support this new government - Solana and Munter with their humanitarian bombs.

Where are all of the Serbian's applauding this government? I'm sure that if the DSS/SRS came to power, the people would be out in the streets celebrating but we get nothing with this abomination.

bganon, aren't you going to at least congratulate this government since you fully support it?

"The U.S. is ready to cooperate with the democratically elected representatives of Serbia"

Why, the previous governments (or SRS, if that matters) would be/were tyrannically elected? Or maybe the expectation is, "democratically elected government" = "government with tanks ready to roll on the Red Square"? If that's the case, there will be some disappointment.
