Maybe if you change the title of the piece from "SPS has chosen European path" to "SPS has chosen political oblivion", it would have matched reality closer. SPS voters did not vote for Quislings...

So, in a years time at the next election, who are the SPS voters going to vote for? The SRS. Duh!

Puhleeeze! Daniel Sewer an 'analyst'?

He used to work fot the US State Department.

Much like former ambassadors and generals, they are in no way independent or balanced in their views. They are just there to put out the unofficial official view for state propaganda.

Ex-ambassadors say things that no serving ambassador can say.

Ex-generals used as analyst on US media networks and used as 'analysts' were recommended by the Pentagon.

Talk about free propaganda.

Is B92 capable of finding a balkans 'analyst' who does is not a former governement official or who has worked for government or works for a governement affliated think tank?

You could start with some universities that don't take money from governments, but why do so when people like Sewer are so easily accessible and it's just a straight forwared copy and paste job?

There are real acedemics out there who spend their whole live studying their subject and are not in some governement or others pocket.

Why can't we hear from them?

Unfortunately this is what is happening to the mass media. More content (ease of accessibility and cheapness are priorities) and less information. Well it really helps to fill up those column inches.

I get more information from the cream on top of my coffee.

So? What is an analyst?

Please excuse me while I conjugate for a minute:

I am an analyst
You are an analyst
He is an analyst
She is an analyst
It is an analyst
We are analysts
You are analysts
They are analysts

It's sad that the United States is still accepting people to represent its foreign policies based on lowest common denominator of understanding in foreign affairs. That Server continues to lament Serbia's refusal to recognize Kosovo's independence represents a continued detachment from reality among the Washington bubbleheads. It's also brazen of him to suggest that continued stonewalling of this recogniztion could harm Sebia's entry into the EU, particularly when the US has no say in deciding the internal matters of the EU.

I have no doubt that the US will continue to be one of the most vocal supporters for an independent Kosovo, seeing as how we get the best deal out of such a scenario, but I have yet to see any indication that contingency plans are in the works for after the establishment of the June 28 government in Mitrovica and elsewhere. If Kosovo becomes another fragmented Bosnia, Washington will no doubt complain and point the finger at Serbian intransegence for once again obstucting US policies. But at the end of the day, if partition and a dual government is needed in order to keep Kosovo afloat and move the entire western Balkans into the EU, I have little doubt the US will relent on such objections.
