Humor me and answer the following. . .

. . .why don't the Kurds have a state while the Albanians have two?

I mean, the largest exports of both nations are:

* babies,
* poverty and
* regional instability

. . .so why has the U.S., in its infinite wisdom (cough!), chosen to award Albanians with another state?

Your history is wrought with opportunism (latching onto the Ottomans, then the Nazis, then the Communists, now NATO), the vast majority of the Kosovo Albanians are molsem, you sided against the Americans in each world war. . .so what reason is there that a proud, free, independent and christian nation such as the U.S. would have to support you over the Serbs that share much more in common with the Americans?

Could it be simply that the U.S. has national interests in doing so? Who knows. . .perhaps they want:

* the mines or
* a new oil pipeline route or
* seek to further infringe on areas of former Russian influence??

What I do know is that they don't care if you're Albanian or Kurdish or Serbian. . .its about their interests. . .not yours.

So before you chastise Spain for not supporting your illegal proclamation of dependence due to self-interests . . .realize that those that support you are also acting for their own selfish reasons.

Spain has been a consistent supporter of Serbia's stance on kosovo province and defender of international law. Viva Espana!!

Ok so Serbia has chosen his EU sponsor...Spain ..
As we all know each new country that aspire to Eu member status needs one..For example is not Pulcinella's secret that Croatia has Germany AS main mentor..
So Serbia will be side by side with Spain...Felicidades !!

Spain is protecting their own interest. Otherwise they would recognize NATO controled Kosovo along with other EU members who have done it.

Oh yeah? And what is Spain going to do, leading the pack of a few cranky dissident countries in EU?

Hurt EU unity in such delicate post-Ireland referendum times, that's what. Won't be long before the EU countries start pointing fingers at those who cause embarassing splits in EU policy.

Spain is not supporting Serbia, it is all about Basks concern. Soon will recognize Kosova's indepedence which is recognized by the mos powerfull countries. What's holding you back Spain, come on and do it!

Can Serbia and Spain have an agreement where by all Serbs go to (País Vasco)Basque and all Bask come over to live in Serbia – they’ll be a great neighbours!!

In the name of most Europeans I would suggest that all Kosovo Albanians move to either Albania or maybe Texas so you can all live close to GWB after he will finally leave office with a legacy that has earned him the title as worst US president ever. I am sure that you can make yourselves useful by ethnically cleansing Hispanics back to Mexico (you have an impressive resume when it come to that skill). It is importnat what Spain thinks, because they and the others that are against the illegal UDI will make sure that the NATO colony of Kosovo will NEVER EVER become an EU member. Sorry, but an Albanian downplaying the importance of the 5th largest economic power of the EU and the 7th largest military power in NATO is just too funny! If you think Spain does not matter in the world, I wonder what you must think of Albania or Kosovo ;)!

I was just in Florida visiting the oldest city on the continent, St. Augustine established by the Spaniards in 1500's.
I've learned there that Spanish territory in Florida was the only hope of the black slaves captured by other European colonial nations. If they would accept Spanish faith they were granted freedom. So many black families perished trying to cross the border to go to the Spanish side, to where freedom was.
I was really impressed with this.
Back then Spanish people knew those important few things about life, liberty and humanity better than the Brits,
Dutch or Germans.

And they know them now.

you´ve just hit the point. the Albanians misunderstand themselves as important, and " in a few years we will be the masters of the balkans" is only one of their funny comments, but in the end, they are simply puppets on a string.

so, belittling Spain is just one more nail in the coffin of that stillborn creation they call "kosova".

Serbia will prevail, and with Serbia it will be also international law, moral and cizivlized policy.


ps: if it is of interest: I was for both teams, tonight. so, there´s absolutely no reason to favour a team, since they are both good.

ethnic Albanian posters and supporters should not poo poo on individual EU countries, their policy, and actions. This weeks Lisbon treaty no from the Irish (Hail glorious St. Patrick!), shows how much power individual nation states wield in the EU system.

If you dismiss the likes of Spain, Cyprus,China, Russia, etc you are looking at a formidable coalition of economic, political and military strength.

Just because my country the US says something is so does not make it such.

And as I've posted here before in the wake of Spain making headlines...Serbia needs a Reconquista!

I think Albanians have to be considered major players in the balkans nowadays. You have to admit, they stand united as Albanians, no matter what religion. That is the difference between us Christian serbs and muslims "bosnians". Just look at the albanians. They stand unuted no matter what, and they end up taking over kosovo and eventually will control most of western macedonia. Now look at us. We fight each other in the 1990's, we let big countries divide us, and we both end up as the losers. Now i understand that a utopain society is probably impossible, but I think that if we just as serbs (let alone bosnians) we on one page, this mess over kosovo would never happen and we would maintain our territorial integrity. Just my opinion.
