Andreas,
"… Even some of the Serbian leaders have said a year and so ago, that they were not sure if Russia aproach was on their interests..."
Well, we also have fifth column, but support among the Serbs for this people is close to zero.
"… European Serbs, show your loyalty and turn your back to Russia and to the past...It is time to look at your bright future and accept Kosova as an independet state that will fully respect the rights of all its people including serbs and other minorities..."
What are you smoking, I want to try some.
"…Sure that (Russians) are not bothered that much about Serbia…"
" Moscow will consider any changes valid if they are accepted by Belgrade and the Serb community in Kosovo, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Saturday"
It is not at all about international law but about Serbia's interest!…"
EA, Andreas, there is nothing strange about that. Ties that connect Russians and Serbs are very deep. They are not based on the temporary short interest, but on the common culture, history, religion… Russians and Serbs are brothers and no meter what temporary balance of power might be, we do care for each others well being. Through the history, Russians always helped us when they were in position to do so, and Serbs (and our brother's Montenegrins) did what they could to help Russia.
It is you with your temporary alliance with US that should ask questions what reasons are behind American support and how long will it last.
"… First, US will be fine, up and downs are OK…"

"… How did Russia do in Afghanistan in 1979?…"
It is much more relevant to ask how is US doing in Afghanistan (and Iraq) NOW, as Russian involvement was quite some time ago, and Russia doesn't have any problems with Afghanistan at the moment.
But if you want to know history from the 80's do google research on Zbigniew Brezinsky.
