Asner, about whom i knew nothing before this time, is clearly an unrepentant and lying Nazi. that is not name-calling, that is just description. he needs to be extradited and tried, asap, as the war criminal that he is, no excuses.

as to some of the S-nationalist responses here, they are ridiculous and laughable. i will repeat this as often as i must, which in this forum is nearly every day -- there were people from every side and every ethnicity who chose to fight on each side during ww2/civil war in the balkans. the serbs are hardly innocent of war crimes from that period, that is a pure lie. each person was responsible for their own acts, and needs to be held accountable. i am sick of this nationalist, reductionist writing that passes as "history" here.

as for the 90s, we know who is guilty of the war crimes, and who is hiding whom. so give us a break!

When you look at his words there is little to distinguish him with other right wing nationalists of the region, with their unholy theories of pure race and ethnically clean territory.

I'm not one of those that delights in hunting people down for past sins (lets face it this guy has sinned) but every time he opens his mouth he betrays himself.

He denies, he justifies and he shows not a shred of remorse... He disgusts me and he has convinced me that all steps should be taken to try him. I'd even be happy for him to be bundled into a car, then a plane by the Serbian (Israeli or whichever) security services to be tried.

Seriously, if Serbia is expected to deal with its war crimes suspects then why should not Austria?

Following his logic it looks like Serbia should deport most Albanians back to Albania since they hate Serbia. And there you go, the Kosovo status issue resolved once and for all.

The more he protests his innocence the more he seems to incriminate himself. Moreover he clearly lacks remorse for what he accepts reponsibility for since as he seems to say he was just doing what a "Croat" should do!

I think if the Austrians stop blocking justice by pretending he is medically unfit to extradite and he does indeed face trial in Coatia the judges will find it difficult to do anything but find him guilty just on these protestions of innocence alone!

Wonder how quick Austrian justice system may have reacted if any of the Hague indictes had cottoned on to this and settled in Austria but couldn't be extradited to Hague because they feign madness - I am sure they would have found a way quickly enough!!!

The nazi lived for a couple of years during Tudjman in Pozega, until he was discovered and flew to Austria back. His statements about sending "unloyal citizens to their homelands" remind very much of the 90s: with one difference only that in the 90s the Serbs had rifles and defended themselves, but in the end they were expelled with the help of USA and EU anyway. Shame on Austria! They have no right to speak about butcher Mladic! Shame on Austria!!!!
