Zoran, there will be soldiers from all three nationalities. There are plenty of volunteers that wanted to go. With almost half the population being Muslims in Bosnia, the fact that there hasn't been a single terrorist attack since 1995 is clear testament of Bosnia's pro-West orientation. United States has shown herself as the best friend of Bosnia and sending a small contingent of volunteers into Iraq is a way of acknowledging that.

Joe,

Thank you for sharing your vacation stories with us, but I have to disappoint you for I am not the Zoran you are referring to. Did it never occur to you that there may be more than one Zoran in the US or anywhere else? For your information, I am Serbian born and study at the moment in Canada. I think you owe him an apology for you are making fun of him while he did not do anything to deserve that plus he has no chance to defend himself against you slander. That says it all about you and nothing about him. Maybe he is not in a position to leave the US even though he is not happy living there and may want to move to another place that suits him better. In the future stick to the subject that is discussed here and leave all personal issues to yourself (we are not interested in those).

Zoran, who is a US-born Serbian-American never said anything nice about his native country since I know him on this site for the last 2 years. It must be terribly frustrating for someone to live in a country he dislikes so much. Other people in similar cases follow there own logic and move somewhere else...to an other country. Why not Zoran?
We are a free country, rich and beautiful. Being from the New York area I spend again few days in San Diego. What a nice place!!! Today in Balboa Park I met few German tourists, who where so happy to be here. They were complaining about the high cost of living at home. They have a strong euro but everything is much more expensive. A new PORSCHE cost here $106,000....same amount in Germany but in euros.
Yesterday I walked on Pacific Beach, Mission Beach. People looked happy, I was also happy with my wife and son.
Zoran I would advise you to look around in this great country of ours to discover how lucky we are compared to other countries.
Also people are nice and smile at you. That is so different from some ex-communist countries, where older people still look at you with a gloomy face like the controllers of passport used to do or still do in isolated places.

"Which side will they be fighting for, just curious?
(nyoutlawyer, 19 June 2008 20:26)"

Initially they may be fighting on the side of "The Coalition of The Willing" (AKA the US and its "allies" (lapdogs), but when they see how their Muslim brothers and sisters are being killed for oil and US companies like Halliburton they may switch sides or provide the Iraqi resistance with valuable information to make the lives of GI's harder. They will quickly figure out that the US is not a true friend and what a shock that will be.

Most likely there will be no Bosnian Serbs among the 49 "lucky" ones. Roger7 asked the perfect question. I may know the answer. Upkeeping the lying "truth" about Srebrenica in the Western media te keep demonizing the Serbs, turning a blind eye to wahibis in Bosnia (in Republica Srpska this is not an issue), NATO and EU membership "promises", and so on.
