indeed, it was overdue for this German to leave.
he was clearly exceeding his authority by far.
he will, indeed, be only missed by the supporters of the illegal puppet-entity.

> “However, it seems that this is the worst case so far of not respecting UNMIK’s position vis-a-vis such a serious challenge as opposing the results of the Serbian elections on May 11,” says the daily.
Pristina press is flat out wrong here.
By definition, UN's position IS the position of UNMIK. So if Ruecker oversteps his authority, he can expect to get carpeted by UN HQ - as was obviously the case here.
Also shows that soon-to-be former UNMIK chief Ruecker has been operating under a different agenda to that of the UN, whose representative he is supposed to be.
One hopes that his replacement will show a bit more objectivity.
Goodbye Joachim - the K-albanians will miss you.

Thank You Ban Ki-moon !
There will soon be democraticly elected people that Unmik and EU and all other foreigners in Kosovo can do all the talk they need to. No need to extend some mandate when the people have elected their representatives in democratic elections.
You, Ban Ki-moon show that there still exists democracy when dealing with balkan issues!
