Maybe the Albanians in this forum can't read.

Olli Rehn has made it plainly clear that although the UK, France, Germany, etc might have recognised Kosovo, they know they don't have a legal leg to stand on - " The EU commissioner added that the solution to the Kosovo status must in no way jeopardize the stability of the Western Balkans." The solution to the Kosovo status??? Accoriding to Germany, the UK, France, etc,it's already been settled,. According to Olli Rehn, it hasn't. This is Europe's TRUE position as regards Kosovo.

“ The Kosovo Serb parliament – officially the Assembly of the Community of Municipalities of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija – will be formed in Kosovska Mitrovica on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day), June 28, the minister announced.”

This is just one more proof that certain Serbians still don't know the difference and the separation between state and church.

I just hope this kind of provocation stops when Tadic announce the new government of Serbia.

Well from the looks of this article, Kosovo's de jure partition begins today and ends on June 28. I have little doubt the southern and central enclaves will have to cooperate somewhat with EULEX, but depending on the effectiveness of the soon to be government in Mitrovica, we're pretty much headed for a Daytonized Kosovo.

This pretend constitution has failed. No handing over of power to the Albanians, no EU force, no control over the entire territory and Feith just expressing his wishful thoughts.

To my Albanian friends, it has failed and within the next week or so, Serbians will form their own local government that will be linked to Belgrade.

All these theatrics are working against the pretend Albanian entity and only strengthening Serbia's hold on its southern province. The Serbian Army is no longer interested in co-operating with the occupiers and neither is the rest of the world.

It is obvious the US could not deliver its promise. This little experiment is heading straight for the dump so nice try but you have failed. The only way "Kosova" can become independent is within the Albanian imagination and only in isolation. Oh well!

The circus is over and the party is over. This is as far as it goes and it has gone nowhere - lots of smoke, mirrors and props but nothing concrete.

A big thank you to the world who have stood behind international law and Serbia. We are united!

to that guy Steve, who is not willing to learn serbo-croat or cyrillic letters...

once all of the southern-serbian province was inhabited by a serbian majority, but those sad people were cleansed away by albanian terror.

unless you learn from first-hand-sources you will remain depending on noel-malcolm-style propaganda-garbage.

but that´s your decision.

nevertheless, the "anomaly" you are asking about is only one significant hint of the true history of that region.

another is the toponymy, which clearly indicates WHO has lived here for centuries and centuries... the Albanians don´t even have an own name for this region!

educate yourself Steve, you can only profit of it.

hI I'm really baffled -looking at the map of Kosovo and seeing the ethnic make-up of it. I understand the adjoining municipalities???? to Serbia are made up of Serbs but what I don't understand is the "strpce area" that borders with Macedonia seems entirely Serbian. It doesn't make sense to me. Can someone shed some light on this to a curious cat?

thanks to all.

Kosova's constitution has been approved by major world powers, and they have also stated that the borders of Kosova will not changed.
When Slovenia Croatia and BiH declared independence, Serbia had the same retoric as then but slightly toned down as they have realised the seriosness of the major powers. And I believe that the time will tell what will happen to Kosova but I don't think that will ever be a Serb province or Republic ever again. Soon even Serbia will start to realize if not already that the matter has been concluded and there is no reverse. So good luck to Kosova the Independent.

Serbs and non albanians in kosovo should remain CALM as this so called kosovo constitution really means nothing at all. as kosovo is still and will always be legally part of Serbia in reference to international law.

If I remember correctly June 28:th is Vidovdan. The day of the famous Kosovo battle 1389. Could this be a coincidence? Probably not..
