Ilir,

I saw Thaci's house on Dutch television a few weeks ago. Because he owns quite a big mansion, I guess the cleaners working for the UN must all be living in castles!

Ilir

Marco,
I don’t really care what nationality is Peter Faith. They all appear the same to the people of Kosovo. What I think about is the fact that these guys have been 10 years in Kosovo and the improvements in the life of the ordinary citizens is very modest.
Do you know that a cleaner or a secretary, just because is a member of UN gets pay more that the prime minister of Kosovo?
There were you money goes Marco, not to the people of Kosovo. The next generation of Albanians in Kosovo have to to pay back all these “loans” and “support” from Nederland or any other country in high interest.
So please again do not write things that you don’t know inside out.
People in Kosovo are really fed up with these guys and their incapacity to deal with the real problems that Kosovo face.

Bas,

I earn about three times the Dutch modal salary, so I must pay more taxes than your 70 old mother. There is a great chance that I am paying part of her old age allowance (AOW)!

Ilir, by corrupt Dutch officials, you must mean Pieter Feith, right?

"Albanian and Serbian are the official languages"

The Serbs in Kosovo constitute a smaller percentage of the total population, than the Albanians, if we assume that Kosovo is part of Serbia.
Question to all Serbian nationalists:
Are you ready to accept Albanian and Serbian are the official languages of Republic of Serbia if Kosovo stays a part of it?????

Ilir

pre 15 godina

Marco,

Your country Nederland as any other country in Western Europe do not give anything for free. I mean the money that they are supposed to spend in Kosovo is going back to them again via the corrupt Dutch officials that are in Pristine.
So much so, that the people in Kosovo are really fed up with them. Every project needs to go through the western official for approval and most of the time is a Dutch or any other western company that wins the contracts.
The progress is very slow and thanks to your guys the northern part of Mitrovica is turning to black spot in the Balkans. That northern part is turning to a haven for the drug dealers and people smuggling not just from Serbia but from Rumania and Bulgaria.
The great thing about the constitution is that finally the Albanians can take care of their own and not taking advise from some autocrat that gets pay thousand of euros in weeks for just being a Dutch, German, English or whatever..

Ronald,

"...we don't want any new members..."

Just asking what do you mean by "we". You represent only yourself as I represent mine. Just to advise you that I am Albanian by birth and British by naturalisation so you have no right at all to talk in my name as an EU citizen.
Bedankt!

Marco,

you are probably as much tax payer as my 70 year old mother!! Don't forget that EU is home to many nations and nationalities each contributing one way or another (businesses, cigarette tax, petrol tax etc). The funds that may be provided to Kosova will be a small drop on the ocean as Kosova is a small country in comparison to any other country in EU except Luxembourg and San Marino. Anyhow even Holland and many other countries have sucked up a lot of funds from EU when they joined and that majority of these funds initially came from Germany. I never heard a German complain why Spanish, French etc farmers get a lot of these subsidies, and I never heard these guys complaining why they are receiving these subsidies.

Joe,

One day the EU bureaucrats will find out that all the Euros given to Kosovo has just been money thrown down the drain. That day (5 or 10 years from now?) the EU will decide that Kosovo needs to stand on its own legs, and will stop sending my tax money to Pristina.

The plan was rejected in the UN Security Council, while Serbia did not offer a single amendment to any of its articles during lengthy talks in Vienna last year.

Finaly after months I read B92 comments, I saw something realistic. Yes it is true. Hear it from the horse's mouth.
Serbia did not offer a single amendment. It is clear. Serbia didn't want negociations. Serbia wanted Kosovo without Kosovars as has done to the rest of Illyrian territories.

Joe

Marco,

Don't worry. You tax euros just like tax euros of other EU citizens will contribute for years to come to the strengtening of Kosovo before its admission.

EA, why do you keep on telling youreself that Kosovo will become an EU member, we don't want any new members, so forget youre little dream.

come next elections i'm also voting for an party that does not want new members.

Dear B92,
"The plan was rejected in the UN Security Council,..."
The Ahtisari plan was neither approved nor rejected. It was never presented for voting. I would reconsider adjusting that sentence, it's not factual.

The circus will be in Kosovo tomorrow with all sorts of acts and attended by none other than Pinocchio himself. So roll up roll up my dear Albanian friends and enjoy the show!

If that's what makes the Albanians happy, pacifies and stops them burning churches then so be it. Bring on the props to their pretend and isolated "Kosova".

Just remember that this is all for Albanian consumption. As Samardžić mentions, Serbia will continue to strengthen ties with loyal citizens in the southern province.

Anyway, here is a group photo of the constitution authors http://z.about.com/d/huntsville/1/0/c/T/circus2.jpg

Enjoy!

Implement what you want to implement but it will not change the border of Serbia. As per the UN, Kosovo is a part of Serbia. Kosovo will not win a UN seat. Kosovo is Serbia!!

it looks like Slobodan Samardžić will be minister without portfolio soon

Serbia would need a ministry of reconciliation. it would change the international image within a short time.
