What a shame Europe has become... from a rich continent of uniting together and taking out evil scum like the Nazis to this. What a shame... helping out non Europeans to carve out a terrorist narcotic state in Kosovo, and now.. creating this Lisbon Treaty to limit more rights of the individual.

It's time to Europe to take off its fascist mask that it currently has on.. because the true heroes of Europe are currently turning in their graves at what this once great continent has become.

Peter its the EU's or more likely the Irish governments fault for not explaining the treaty to the general populace. Lets face it, the average person in any country has no time or understanding of the vast and complicated terminology and hundreds of pages of texts the come government deals. So why should the people vote 'Yes' to something they have no idea about? Ireland played it safe and smart.

The Irish are not anti-European and I am sure they appreciate the benefits of the EU. But this 'treaty' was very dirty in the sense that it had to be imposed or else. The EU payed the bully and they are going to suffer now for it.

Well done Ireland you spoke for the hundreds of millions of people who had no say in this matter. I will be visiting my local Irish pub tonight for sure! :)

Without E.U there was going to be no Ireland. They would have all been to America by now. But thanks to the E.U money they were able to somehow build their country and stay there. They think they can stop France, Germany and England from doing what they think is right? They are wrong. Even though they are not going to talk straight the way I am, they are going to act straight. France, Germany and other important E.U countries are going to stick together and go ahead with unification. Ireland will be left aside and tought a lesson.

If only life was so simple.

The Masters of the New World Order want the European Constitution in place; and they will have what they want.

After rejection the first time, it was reinvented as the Lisbon Treaty. It will be resurrected again, perhaps next time as “The Dublin Accords” or some such name. But whatever it is called it remains the biggest threat to European civil liberties since the rise of Hitler and Stalin.

If the Serbs on this site want to know a little more about the EU and where it is leading, then they should read the following from one of their more astute countrymen:

I find it strange that a country holds a referendum on a document several hundred pages long of pure legal text that most of the people do not even understand. This is something that should not be voted on by the general populace, rather by people who possess the necessary knowledge to understand it.

This goes to show that the Irish population does not seem to appreciate the fact that its entire economic miracle (Celtic Tiger) phenomenon would not have been possible without the EU.
