Niko Bellic from GTAIV is probably also wanted by the war crimes Hague tribunal In the Netherlands, And Serbia cannot become an EU candidate country before Niko is on a plane flying to the Hague.

Rolerkoster (#25),

Don't lecture me on legal issues. I took quiet a number of law courses while in university (I passed them all)! In a democratic country one can freely express his or her feelings, about ANY issue. As long as you abide by the law, meaning that you don't not make any racist or genuinely derogatory remarks. The fact that the war crimes tribunal in the Hague works under the flag of the UN, doesn't mean you can't make any critical remarks about it. And for your information, the right of freedom of speech is guaranteed under international law through numerous human-rights instruments, notably under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 10 of the European Convention of Human Rights as well as the United States First Amendment...

Marco, what are you talking about? there is no freedom of denunciatian the court of justice which represents the international community - and not a particular opinion. if you (or anyone else) feels to be a higher authority, okay! BK-47 does obviously - and Milosevic thought exactly the same. maybe he was not able to understand, maybe he was just pretending. democracy means not only individual rights, Marco. learn that, before you teach others, please.

Of course Tadic did this. Holland refuses to ratify the SAA due to lack of Hague co-operation and Tadic hands over Župljanin to neutralise it. Otherwise it would be a disaster for his "Sell Serbia to the EU" coalition.

I wouldn't even be surprised if this was planned. It seems there are sell-out Serbs all over the place.

(Zlatko, 11 June 2008 17:15)

Yes, ZLatko, I agree with you 100%, BUT the key word here is "fair" trial, there is no such thing as a fair trial in Hague. If there was a unbiased court that weren't following orders from the EU and the US I am sure both Mladic and KAradzic would go there voluntarily as they would have nothing to fear. BUt Clinton, Chirac and Bush alot others would be sent to jail for bombing innocent and civilian targets all other the world

Here in Ireland this story sounds so familiar. Many Irishmen who were fighting the war in the North were arrested and sometimes extradited. Bad news.

The people who fought the Irish war and those who died from hunger were and are heroes. Remember Bobby Sands and his own people.

Do not extradite anyone. The enemy are out there. Do not satisfy them.

National heroes are just that.

Good news. Now go on and get Mladic. Not because someone wants you to or is telling you to, not to get into the EU, but simply because he is the biggest mass murderer in Europe since 1945, a disgrace to Serbia, and it's the right thing to do.

"I am from Kotor Varos."

And yet you are alive in one piece and I'll bet not one sign of torture on you. I'll bet your parents and siblings are all in one piece and no sign of torture.

You leave out the Muslim and Croat militants who started troubles in towns like these, then left when they couldn't take Serb majority areas. Then went to Muslim controlled areas - consolidated there with Muslims already there who'd ethnically cleansed the Serbs or had them in camps.

It's notable that many of the Muslims, such as yourself, are coming back to these towns in one piece.

No one shows any signs of torture in a camp. There were people in jails - mostly militants and suspects - who left after a few weeks or months and show no signs of abuse.

Meanwhile, Serbs AREN'T returning - or returning in near the same numbers - to Muslim or Croat dominated areas. The Serb homes are mostly not rebuild - the Muslim and Croat homes by and large mostly are.

Zlatko

Ida, your comments honestly NEVER cease to amaze me.

It also never ceases to amaze me just how much you worship anyone who is serbian or declares themselves to be a serbian nationalist, even though their number 1 priority is lining their pockets with the misery of others.

Newsflash..I AM NOT MUSLIM.

All i mentioned was walking to the muslim portion of Kotor Varos in early 1993 and seeing all the damage those poor people had to endure.

My uncle who is from Zrenjanjin was captured by "Muslims" for 9 months, while his 1/2 Montenegrin, 1/2 Bosnian Serb wife (my aunt) cried herself to sleep every night

I am not serbian nor am i Croat.

Stop jumping to conclusions, what is your problem always?

Ratko what makes me sick is that suspected mass murderers are walking the same streets as I am. They should do what Seselj did and hand themselves over.

Even if we accept that the Hague is biased in some way, surely the needs of the few outnumber the needs of the many. I know I'd hand myself over if the whole country had to pay for me. We need this issue out of the way so we can fully focus on Kosovo.

Olf there are not thousands of suspected war criminals walking the streets. According to the Hague there are only 3 suspects left Mladic, Karadzic and Hadzic. Not many left at all and Karadzic doesn't really count as he's been spending his time in Bosnia and Montenegro.

I am from Kotor Varos.

I remember going down to the southern part of the city during the war, and seeing the "Muslim" area of town..there was not a single house which didnt have serious damage to it. Every single house had bullet, burn or explosion damage to it. There was not a single home which was not ruined.

I will remember that for as long as i live.

All war criminal suspects should be arrested and given a fair trial no matter what their ethnicity is.

To read the news of the arrest of one of the main “creators” of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska during 1992-1995 is a good thing. We just hope that the some day other two top bosses, Mladic and Karadzic, follow the same way to the jail.

This arrest has Tadic written all over it. While Nasir Oric and various albanian war criminals get released, have government positions, walk the streets freely, Solana's puppet Tadic arrests more Serbs. Dispicable.
No wonder Solana and company love this guy. He says nothing about their blatant war crime of bombing Serbia for 78 days and does not demand justice, but just follows their orders to arrest more Serbs and whitewash their crimes. It is sickening that we still have many Vuk Brankovic's in our midst.
