According to Feith: "You cannot have parallel institutions and, at the same time, expect the protection provided by the Ahtisaari plan,".

Problem is that some autonomy for the Serb areas should have been introduced by UNMIK in 2000 when it was clear that areas with a mixed population had nearly all been cleansed of their Serbs. At that time it was perfectly clear that "Albanian government" and "Albanian protection" did not work for Kosovo's Serbs and that they needed more control over their own fate.

So when Feith threatens to withhold the "benefits of the Ahtisaari Plan" he basically theratens to rob Kosovo's Serbs of basic protection for which they are entitled according international treaties.

"EU's special representative for Kosovo Pieter Feith says that EULEX could be deployed in the northern, Serb areas as part of UNMIK."

So now Feith is willing to have Eulex as "part of UNMIK" in the north ..... what a climbdown by this arrogant man who declared not long ago that Eulex will be everywhere in Kosovo under its own steam!

I am reminded of 2 English sayings here -- "Pride comes before a fall" and "Don't count your chickens before they hatch."!

Mr Feith, trying to force the Athisaari plan down Serbia's throat is not going to work.

Athisaari plan was not accepted by anyone who matters. By that I mean the UN. You see, only the UN can implement this and you will NEVER get the approval of the SC.

Do you think that force feeding this plan that someone is actually going to swallow it?
It keeps getting spat out and it will continue to be spat out.

Please tell us when did the UN endorse Athisaari's plan? When did it get a seal of approval?

Go back to the SC and ask again. If they say go ahead then go ahead, but until then stop annoying the Serbs of Kosovo.

Skender Hyseni is not the "Albanian politician who introduced himself as Foreign Minister of Kosovo " but he is himself the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo.

B92, B92 - in what a propaganda are you fallin' to?

Pieter, Pieter...
You havent been visiting some of the coffe shops in your homeland lately...? Because this comments are as realistic as to belive that Serbia can outlaw legalized narcotics use in the coffee shops in Amsterdam..

Forget about the north and the enclaves and realize that the serbs don't want anything to do with your so called EULAW there, we already have functioning law in some parts of the serbian province, serbian law. It might be adapted somewere in the future to harmonize with EU directives, but that is not the same thing as having "your" law there..
