Nicola, When you say "It's time for Serbia to bring back values for Europe" do you mean those that Serbia showed during the 90's in Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo?

Mark (Shqype)

To all commenting, especially those that continually comment to belittle Albanians, Albania, and to speak against the reality of the new European state of Kosova:

It will be interesting to note that while Serbia has blocked the "application" of Kosova into Eurochambres, that's about all they're able to do. Balkan Insight has posted an article which explains how Kosova's Chamber of Commerce will bid for membership into EuroChambres by voting at the assembly meeting in October.

So yes, this too may be another meeting that Serbia will walk out of.

Ataman, what´s your point, actually?

Serbia has partners all over europe, business-partners, of course.

do you really think Serbia is isolated by not sending someone to Taiwan?

you´re kidding, aren´t you?

as a sidenote: visa-regulations are not "stupid", only because you don´t understand what they are about!

but don´t worry, the Balkans in general, and especially not Serbia - they won´t collapse economically just because of not attending to some fairs in Taiwan...

This ladies and gentlemen is called a diplomatic victory :)

I truly hope these dirty and corrupt governments will be overthrown in Europe... Europe is a beautiful continent with a rich history.. this current regime in almost every country in Europe is not its true face.

It's time for Serbia to bring back European values in Europe.. and then we can talk about joining the EU.. with pride, and dignity.

To Nehat; as you know, I am not Taiwanese, but AFAIK, the company in BG I am going to work for does have significant business with Pristina. Obviously, we have completely different opinion on many things but Albanians are very good customers. Of course, we have radically different view about UDI, "Snake" and "Pigeon". In my opinion, as it goes to business ethics both Serbs and Albanians (I am speaking about legit business, not mafia!) are miles above American ethics. Once hands are shaken, that is the law. In the States you never know when the knife will go into your back. Again, this is my practice - maybe in other areas it's different.

To Jovan, the current practice in CG and SR regarding Taiwanese damaging us a lot. There is no Taiwanese representation in Belgrade, Serbs have to travel to Budapest in order to get a Taiwanese visa. OK, I use a passport where I don't need a Taiwanese visa - but my colleagues have no other choice. Besides, I am not sure, Taiwanese WILL issue visas for them at all. I do not want to travel alone: you do not want to deal with Chinese 1:1 in business.

To maintain good relationship with Chinese you HAVE to see them in person, it's no way to have success just over the internet. I am doing it since ca. 20 years and I know that. What we have now: Taiwanese don't have any relationship with Serbia or Crna Gora. Very damaging for us and of course for you, too. You see the problem twice a year. In early Spring there is the famous Hannover fair. The practice is, the Taiwanese go to Hannover first than they travel around the Europe to visit their business friends. No problem as far from Hannover as Russia or UK or Greece... but no way for them to visit Serbia or CG. In early Summer there is Computex in Taiwan. And the same problem goes the other way (to be honest, I am not sure, maybe Taiwanese will issue the visa to Serbs, we did not try yet).

I try to use every way to cry out loudly about some stupid visa policies which are so easy to fix.

Ben,

Spoken like a true albanian nationalist!

Benji, thanks for your continued validation of what your true intentions are, greater albania which will be vetoed, rejected, and resisted.

greater albania...sounds like an oxymoron. Jumbo shrimp or central intelligence agency, simply contradictions in terms.

Ben,
So you are actually saying that Milosevic was right when he said that albanians wants a "greater" albania?

This incident shows clearly that "Kosova" is not a country. Be prepared for more such rejections. But I am sure you might get into the "American allies ping-pong association" if you want...

ben

This means that Kosova will be presented by Albania never by Serbia ;)

which spoken by heart is the way that it should be... all this independence thing is ridiculous, Kosova is Albanian land and should be with Albania in every single segment of the life. Thanks to Bulgarin it will be more closer in the economic life and thanks to Serbia in general hopefully one day it will be politically one and same thing.

Nehat

Ataman; you can come to Kosovo and do business now, as the Taiwanese passport is recognised in the Republic of Kosovo.

my other view of this is that it is really pointless to a system in place where business and politics are mixed the Kosova chambers needs to be integrated with the rest of the region as only through business we can get out of this hole that Serbia has dog everyone into.

business sees no colour, apart from the colour of money.

Good Job!! Congratulation! Serbia should keep the pressure and one day the country will win back kosovo from the hands of the imperial army of Emperor George W. Bush

Ataman

pre 15 godina

OK, that was finished as I would predicted. Not much to say here... but that reminds me of an important issue.

Does anyone know, people having Taiwanese passports are NOT ALLOWED to travel to Serbia and Crna Gora? Seriously, it's not just that they would need a visa - it's much worse, Serbian and Montenegrin visa CANNOT BE ISSUED into Taiwanese passport.

"Great" job! And "thanks" for making direct business with Taiwanese manufacturers impossible. Indeed, let Croatians, Hungarians, Russians be the middle-man.

Besides... Taiwanese can freely travel to Mainland China, without visa. So this visa regulation is long over-due to be flushed down the toilet.

Ooops, sorry, I am wrong. There IS an area of Serbia where Taiwanese businessman and tourists can travel even without visa. Where is that area? Anyone has a guess?

And anyone has a guess, how much damage is done by not letting Taiwanese people into Serbia and Crna Gora?
