As i have said in other posts about the K-Serb parliment the EU will deal with it. It wants the Serbs on board. Its all about political will in the west, which at the moment is not there, we have more pressing matters such as the credit crunch, oil prices, gas etc. Serbia will be the key to good relations with Russia (all that lovely gas and oil) thats why the EU will tolerate this new parliment.

I as a private citizen of the UK and EU formerly regcognise the Serbian southern province new parliment.
there we go if anyone can break UN 1244 then i can.

Bad Gorilla,

You quote "muslims" in your comment. Don't make this into a religious discussion. If we were to discuss religious persecution in Kosovo, one cannot even begin to compare centuries of ottoman oppression or recent attacks on over 1300 monasteries and churches in Kosovo by albanian extremists. For those who want to imply the propaganda card, I can refer you to many non-serbian sources with plenty of information on this subject since I as a non-Serb have done my part to properly educate myself. Let's keep these discussions focused on Kosovo's status. For those who favor Kosovo's move towards independence, don't forget that the model created by the EU and the US for all new "democracies" promotes complete separation of religion and state functions. As long as international bodies are in control of Kosovo, this will never change.

Regardless of what anyone says, the situation has not progressed as the Kosovo Albanians or their suppoters planned. 1) they didn't get the recognition they envisioned and the US is angry because they are not putting much effort into getting recognized
2)The US and EU are not intervening militarily. It doesn't matter if Russia isn't as strong as other major super powers, nobody wants war with Russia.
3)The UN is not bending under pressure; Russia and China are holding strong against recognizing Kosovo.
4)The longer Kosovo exists as a so-called independent entity, the more it's violent and criminal activity is being exposed, from human trafficing to organ harvesting, there's enough going on in Kosovo to make a bunch of hit hollywood movies.
So, what's the solution? Start negotiating again, and this time without any pre-conditions.

Kosova doesn't have to deal with these persons, I am well confident that KFOR is dying to confront these serbians. it's hard to forget moltov cocktails.

Ha,Ha. I guess the best choice for such a US state would be.... Illinois. How do you think he got elected? I have a deal for the US/EU: You give the Serbs Illinois and the Serbs give you Kosovo.

“… the Dutch …. didn’t expelled its Muslim population en masse from Amsterdan in 1999... “

No, they didn’t but Dutch Muslim population behaved so far. If they all of the sudden begin shooting Dutch policeman, terrorizing Dutch population…. I’m not so sure that it wouldn’t come to that. There are few Dutch politicians who can’t wait for these kind of developments. A sizable part of Dutch public became quite anti – Muslim. In the last couple of years.

By the way, Dutch Muslims don’t have education in their own language

given that the freedom-loving Irish will very likely red-card the "european" Lisbon-treaty,

I really do not even see the EU as a power to oppose a few righteous european member-states, even less international law.

it looks like there will be some sobering in the future.

let´s just see what future brings! time is on Serbia´s side - Serbia´s on the right side!

Well, the Dutch did not killed, raped and expelled its Muslim population en masse from Amsterdan in 1999...

And this "mini-me Republika Srpska"seems more like a desperate move from SRS and DSS (who will not get the government of Serbia) to make some demonstration of... force?

It looks like the action plan (funny name by the way) is alive and working well!

Soon Pristina and all foreigners such as KFOR/UNMIK/EU representatives in southern Serbia will have to talk to democraticly elected people on the serbian side, its good for democracy in t balkans

I'm surprised Feith didn't mention that the Serb parliament breaks 1244, because it does. But then again so does Feith's mission, not to mention the Pristina parliament.

"The mandate I was given " - what and who gave the mandate your talking about ???

It certainly is not mandated by the UN which is the only authority or Serbia the sovereign state!!!

after all it´s quite laughable to read those statements of the tourist Feith about the poeple of Serbia ...

that is regrettable, actually.

but nevertheless, who cares? tourists come, tourists go.

Would be interesting to see what would happen if Serbia appointed a civil administrator for one of the dutch provinces (say South Holland for instance), sent him/her to the Hague, & instructed him/her to make pompous pronouncements on what the dutch could & could not do in their own country.

Suspect he/she would be locked up in an insane asylum.
