“… Who are you trying to convince?...”

Well Miri, think logically. Even in the link that you provided you can read that in Srebrenica were thousands of Muslim solders. They were fighting for years with Bosnian Serb army, and they were attacking Serb settlements in the area. Later, they broke by the force through the Serb lines and walked through the mountains and further fought with Serbs until most of them finally reached the Tuzla.

Wouldn’t you expect that is these circumstances it must be that quite a few Muslim solders died in fighting? There were also accidental deaths, sickkness, collateral damage … Yet, all of the deaths are claimed to be result of Serb massacre. Strange. Something fishy here. It seems that everyone who died on the Croat, Bosnian Muslim, Bosnian Croat, Kosovo Albanian side is a victim of Serb massacre even if he was armed to the teeth extremist burning Serb village. On the opposite side opposite principle applies – all Serbs, even those who were defending their homes and families.

Miri,

S. Milosevic didn't have anything to do with Srebrenica.

"… 8000 people massacred…"

8000 people are not massacred. That is total number of Muslim casualties over the period 1992 - 1995. Most of casualties were Bosnian Muslim solders killed in the fighting.

Alba, I was giving you examples of how Muslims all over the world cry discrimination every time one of thiers ges punished for crimes. So you see, it is relevant to the comments from your lot.

Second, what are you talking about Germans and Jews? I was saying that everyone got killed on all sides and you still keep blaming ghe Serbs alone for the war.
It was the Albanians who started with the ethnic cleansing well before Milosevic went in to stop you. You know it and I know it. The difference is you don't want to admit it. It is so laughable that you keep goin on with your propaganda about poor innocent Albanians being hurt by those nasty Serbs.

The first thing I stated in my reply was not to open that can of worms. It was the Albanians who because of their hatred towards the Serbs and for that matter anyone not Albanian started this whole mess. The Serbs didn't ethnically cleanse all the gypsies and other non Albanian population from Kosovo. If the Serbs were the agressors then why did the rest get kicked out as well? What did they do to you?

Your lies are crumbling around you and you are getting desperate now. The truth is slowly coming out. You cannot even tolerate the UN any more let alone the Serbs. So this person getting 40 years is approprite, considering he is a terrorist. This is not your ordinary murder. This was an act of terrorism and anyone who thinks he was treted harshly is a terrorist sympathiser.

Peggy,

The guy got the sentence for his crime, that’s a good news for whomever does commit crimes like this..

Now, dear God, you still didn’t learn from your own “rubbish comparisons” (i.e. Rwanda vs. Kosovo) now, we have an inter-ethnic attack because of an hatred after a terrible war where Serbia was an aggressor and started the war, having that in mind, i think your Israeli “friends” wouldn’t be happy if the world used your logic or Germans for that matter, it would sound like this “well everyone killed us too so we can’t be held responsible for what we did”!!! so clearly it does not work like that in normal world, you start a war (in Serbia’s case not only one war) so you are far most responsible and should be punished heavily so not to pose a threat for the future.

Now your rape-story with an imam complaining about the sentence, because you been fighting each other for decades (between same ethnic population) just because you have different religion ……maaaan, how can this be relevant whatsoever in this forum and in the above mentioned topic!!!!!!

Peggy

pre 15 godina

Lili, Please don't open that can of worms. Who has commited more crimes and whose crimes are greater?

So you can't swallow 40 years for this. What do you think is more approprite? A suspended sentence and a fine?
I have heard all this before. When some Lebanese guys raped Australian women here and got heavy sentences the Mufti got all up in arms about this saying how it was an injustice and if they weren't Muslims they would've got a lighter sentence.

Don't start with this discrimination rubbish for I can come up with strong examples of discrimination against the Serbs by your lot. Albanians have always defended the crimes of other Albanians on this site. Whatever an Albanian does is excused because the Serbs have done this or that. Get over it. People got killed on all sides.

Now let's talk about organ trafficing. How many years do these people deserve when they get caught. They will because you can't hide the truth forever. Are you going to have new elections becasue your elected leaders will the rotting in jail for this?

be careful what you wish for, we'll agree to it: MOST Serbs are inside Kosovo, not on border, and you cannot join Serbia if the border is 50 miles away. If they vote, only a small part in the north would join Serbia. You would lose Presevo Albanians, Hungarians, Gorani etc etc.

johny

pre 15 godina

The differences between Albanians and Serbs is that when we Albanians learn of something like this. We say let him rot in jail as he deserves it. Let this guy rot in jail.
I didn't see not one single Serb here who regard themselves as great humanitarians and protectors of international justice post any comment at all, let alone any positive comment about the 900 killed Albanians that are still to be identified in Serbia. This article was posted here on B92 not more than 2 weeks ago. Are the lives of 900 Albanians less worthy than those of 11 Serbs?

Ataman

Guys, please be reasonable.

I strongly oppose the UDI, I regard several leaders of Kosovo as war criminals, their "republic" a joke and a tool in the hands of neo-cons in USA.

I have nothing against Albanians who live in Kosovo or anywhere else, but want to be not administred by some authorities from Belgrade they do not trust. That trust needs to be built and UDI is a wrong way.

Under reasonable autonomy the court in Pristina is NOT a kangaroo-court. It made a good decision in this case. I am glad to see, that like in all countries of Europe, the death penalty is not an option on the entire territory of Serbia. 40 years is a penalty more harsh than death penalty.

I hope, the same court in Pristina will hand similar sentences to others who have blood on their hands.

ida

pre 15 godina

A longer write up of this news mentions that the bus bomber also killed a UN official in 2004 and shot a local police officer too - I believe that is the real reason he was locked up - he just started being a crime to the international community and non-Serbs.

He had earlier been imprisoned but "escaped" meaning he was allowed out and he was free for a long time before he came back and killed non-Serbs.

By sentencing him long it makes it look like the court is finally acting against all those crimes against Serbs when in fact it is self-serving.

And I'll also have to see to believe he serves a long time in prison. There may be an "escape" within the next few years, or an appeal which cuts his sentence way down.

As for that other poster who mentions Serbs crimes against non-Serbs - those were GREATLY exaggerated.

And its been shown that it was mostly MILITARY and PARAMILITARY in Bosnia who died in that 3-way war. Actually there was fighting between the Muslims - those under central command (Alija Izetbegovic/Sarajevo government) and Fikret Abdic who was a moderate Muslim and had an autonomous area in northwestern Bosnia which fought with the Serbs.

The census of Croatia and Bosnia and then Kosovo shows the prewar percentage of Croats, Muslims, and ethnic Albanians is the same or greater than before war. The raw population numbers are up for the Albanians and Croats, while many of the Muslims are settled in the U.S. and other countries - but virtually all able-bodied and showing no scars.

The media lied and exaggerated and often twisted the truth to produce an overhyped image to make the wars look greater than they were.

The wars were far more militant/military related than against civilians and there was far more atrocities and ethnic cleansing against the Serbs than the media would allow, while far less against the others.

All you Albanian posters who immediately jump to "but what about Milosevic etc", I say back off.
Milosevic was never PROVEN anything. He was killed in prison before anything was proven against him. Perhaps because they would've had a hard time proving anything or perhaps they were not going to be able to prove anything.

Whatever reason behind him meeting his untimely end he can only be called an ALLEGED criminal, not PROVEN.
For that reason you don't have any right to label him anything, but this terrorist and his accomplices deseve to be called exactly that.

Why do yo alwasy steer away from the story and keep going back to Milosevic, Mladic etc? Is it because you cannot debate the issue at hand and have to keep diverting away from the story?

it´s "sentences" are simply invalid.

of course those "authorities" could hand him out to the real authorities, so that he can spend his time in a real prison.

How about NOT, our judicial system and most of European countries’ does not evolve around capital punishment. In addition, please do not generalize all Albanians with the actions of a few. Every nation, every country in the world has some ‘bad apples’. That’s why countries have judicial systems so those bad apples go punished if they commit a crime.

This is a hideous crime and if Mr. Ejupi is proven guilty beyond doubt it should serve his sentence to its full extent. The goal of Kosovar society is re-conciliation with Serb minority of Kosova not animosity. The rule of law is above all and crimes and provocations that instill hate and division should be punishable regardless of ethnicity. There are people like Ejupi that provide much desired material to Serb extremists in Belgrade and ultra-nationalists elsewhere who are in a continuous hunt for such events to justify their claims of Kosova's partition.

I say ,yes hard to swallow itbecause it is the heviest prison sentence that have been given for crimes in ex yu.Hague has sentenced criminals that have done hundred of shooting to less than that...
this is just a confirmation that justice is not done in kosova were not only a serb has been condamned for the crimes you have committed, for the bodies that you have transported to bajnice, petroseles camps ,and sava river...
Another good exemple of why we have to get rid of unmik !

>> If you are allowed to secede from Serbia, then the Serbs are allowed to secede from Kosovo - i.e. the right to self determination.

be careful what you wish for, we'll agree to it: MOST Serbs are inside Kosovo, not on border, and you cannot join Serbia if the border is 50 miles away. If they vote, only a small part in the north would join Serbia. You would lose Presevo Albanians, Hungarians, Gorani etc etc.

Miri,

S. Milosevic didn't have anything to do with Srebrenica.

"… 8000 people massacred…"

8000 people are not massacred. That is total number of Muslim casualties over the period 1992 - 1995. Most of casualties were Bosnian Muslim solders killed in the fighting.

Stevan

pre 15 godina
