And I thought the K-Serbs are now supposed to be the world's most privileged minority living in the blissful paradise of "Kosova"?

And why shouldn't they be fearful. After what happened in 2004 when the Albanians murdered and ethnically cleansed thousands of Serbians after burning their houses and churches, I really can't blame them.

These criminals and murderers still walk free in Kosmet with no attempt to arrest them.

I think the title should read:
Three members of MUP have returned to Serbia after they've realised they were tresspassing.

Serbs fear of returning has more to do with having a guilty conscience than fear for anything else. Only when all the Serbian perpetraitors are brought to face justice for their criminality can all of us start to enjoy peace.

Yes World Citizen, I am familiar with the actions of the Serbian forces against KLA terrorists. When all of the Western propaganda is removed, it was a perfectly legal and justifiable response.

However, the Albanian pogrom was organised and executed during peaceful times and under no threat from Serbian citizen apart from the fact that they lived in a Kosovo the Albanians wanted to be ethnically pure.

Like I keep saying, it is the Albanians that can't live with their neighbours and other ethnic groups. Serbia is an ethnically rich country where everyone lives together peacefully.

When Albanians call for independence of Vojvodina and not even the Hungarians are calling for such nonsense is a good example of the destructive mentality coming from the Albanian side.

There is good reason why minorites are protected by barbed wire and NATO troops. Even they know the Albanians cannot be trusted.

I see the first 2 Albanian posters are turning the story around again. It is your blind hatred towards Serbs, that will never allow Serbs and Albanians to ever live agaain side by side.

K-albanian constitution that supposedly protects the rights of minorities is just worthless paper if they don't observe its articles.

And judging by the opinions (up to #11) expressed above from the K-albanian camp, that is indeed the case. Only 'DimTuc' has expressed reservations, & he is not albanian.

I am also a minority in Kosova but i dont live in fear i enjoy and i am so happy that finaly Kosova got independance that we are free from serbia.

As an Albanian, you are right. You are a minority in Serbia but you must realise that only Albanians call Kosmet "Kosova". The rest of the world calls it Kosovo and that is the difference between make believe and reality.

So I have no problem with you enjoying your perceived independence, just understand that the overwhelming majority of the world, local and distant, do not share your view.

The Kosova that exists in the Albanian imagination is independent but the Kosovo that exists in reality is a Serbian province. And that is the reason why Albanians live in isolation.

The article itself was pretty bland in comparison to the knee-jerk comments from the Albanian groupthinkers, yet such reactions speak volumes. Pristina is told to say "Kosova" is a multiethnic land where Serbs and Albanians can come together, sing songs, and bake cookies. Yet actual sentiment of Albanians is still to get rid of as many Serbs as possible. This isn't exclusive to K-Albanians though; peasantlike mentality runs rampant everywhere.

However at the same time the article never said if the Serbs of Decani are actually receiving any potential threats from Albanians. It simply says Serbs are leaving due to protests. Odd.

My opinion? Take the land given back to Decani and build a Serbian village there. Matter of fact, have all the land that is owned and controlled by the SPC in Kosovo (all codified in the AP) and turn the open areas into Serbian communities.

Actually, peggy, i am a foreigner (to you, as you are to me) and i refer to kosova as "Kosova" as do many others of us.

to be honest, despite how very much i despise the radicals, it doesn't really matter, in the end, if they form the government in belgrade or not. the hate and racism against albanians is, tragically, ubiquitous throughout serbia, not just among the "Radicals" and we read it here, day in and day out, so please don't write in and bother to try to deny it.

On another website the UN have denied this although complaints have been made. Maybe if Serbia and Kosovo follow the UK and N.Ireland peace process then maybe you can live together, since in any case you both want to join the EU. When you do your borders wont matter, Serbs can go south and Albanians can go North. What you both should be doing is building a good economic future as partners, put the past behind you, move on the wars over.
