Putin: Russia opposes NATO expansion in principle

Russia is against NATO expansion toward its borders in principle, the prime minister said in an interview with French daily Le Monde released Saturday.

The Baltic and other ex-communist countries safely under the wings of NATO were able to realize in the last few years that in Putin's Russia nothing changed. Enpowered by those billions of oil money Russia resorted to her old imperialistic ways to intimidate or threaten her small neighbors. Georgia is in real danger. I hope this brave little country can become a NATO member fairly soon and her protection can be assured that way.

I wonder why B-92 avoids most of the positive information about Russia ? How could you miss a very important part of the interview concerning Kosovo !

When asked of the "separatist regimes in Georgia" Putin asked the correspondent if he considered the regime in Kosovo as a separatist one. The last found nothing to say and Putin said few more things in the favour of the Serbs concerning refugees ect. I doubt that B-92 personnel voted Nikolic but at least they ought to be more or less objective ! Serbia has got not so many friends not value them at all.
