In my opinion "suspension with pay" is a joke. These guys should have been suspended without pay. Actually in a World that I live in these cops would have been fired after a week of suspension if they still didn't agree to the police terms. These officers should not be taken back to the KPS. If new Serbian officers apply, that would be okay to hire them. But these guys will need to learn a lesson.

Peace.

Suspension is a neutral act. The Serbian Police Force are not allowed to patrol under their own nation flag but under the illegal Albanian flag - I would call this a grievance procedure and until it's resolved - the men should remain suspended with full pay. They do not agree with their new terms and condition.

I agree suspension is a neutral act but not in this case.
But you can call the Kosova flag illegal, but EU parliament and a lot of other powerful countries say otherwise. Liberia joined us in recognizing Kosova's "illegal" UDI today. That list is getting bigger day by day. Montenegro and Macedonia gave signals that they too will recognize Kosova in the month of June. So guess what Ratko; All our neighbors will recognize Kosova except Serbia of course. So as long as those Serbians live in Kosova they will have to abide with Kosova laws. They have more rights as minorities as Albanians do. If they don't recognize Kosova's authorities they are free to leave Kosova and join the Serbian Police Force in Serbia. They are also free to come back because Kosova's constitution allows for double citizenship. But if they come back I would not hire them as KPS. They had their chance and blew it. Other Serbians are happy to take their jobs.

Peace.

Im ashamed of the Prishtina goverment. Stop fooling around, this isn't a joke.. just fire them already. Hire Kosovo Serbs that want to feed their families and do a service to Kosova ;).

A recent poster said 'He would do the same'. It's very hard to starve yourself, and even harder to starve you're family

Hopefully, the Republic of Kosova will pratice it's independence a little more harsher. If a number of Albanians from KPS did this for whatever reason, they would get fired and replaced on short notice.

Policing Kosovo was promised to Pristina anyway.
Even if Kosovo stayed within Serbia, these people would get their paycheks from Pristina.
Belgrade wanted only sovereignty over Kosovo.
Hum. What does Belgrade really want now? Division, I guess.
Save what you can.

Unfortunately in Serbian KiM there is a status of lawlessness because albanians are trying to govern a province that does not belong to them.

These police officers live and work in a southern Serbian provence and are serving their country, whose capital is Belgrade. I don't find their actions any bit surprising. It's what I would have done in their place if I was Serbian.
