- thats the type of menatlity so called EU "friends of Serbia" such as Solano, Blair/Browm, Kouchner, Rupel , De Gucht et all have and it stinks!!! (Princip, UK, 29 May 2008 11:49)

what kind of mentality do you represent here? what kind of smell?

there is a widespread consense in Europe about Georgia, which is not Kosovo. you should know that as a citizen of the EU.

EU states which recognised the UDI of Kosovo, gave clear and reasonable explanations for their decision. did you read some? I think, you should, instead to compare Georgia with Kosovo.

concerning the SAA-text: who believes that a government under the rule of SRS and DSS-NS can guarantee "unlimited cooperation" with The Hague? this is the main condition which the SAA is based on - and that was the reason for SRS and DSS-NS to oppose the SAA during their election campaigns.

all the SAA is null and void without unlimited cooperation and SRS and DSS-NS would loose their voters in a sudden, when they would cooperate. I hope, Serbia will get the so-called government - that people see, that their double-strategy does not work.

How can the SAA be signed when it doesn't even state which parts of Serbia should be allowed to enter EU? At the very least the SAA must clarify if it is ment for Serbia including Kosovo or if it's an agreement for only a part of Serbia. Otherwise it would be like signing a contract without reading the small print before signing it.

Wait and see. At this moment it's just bla. Blah. Blah-blah-blah. Yada-yada-yada.

There is nothing to lose SRS cannot agree to any peaceful solution of "Kosovo je Srbija", the military solution is unlikely, so SRS is IMO also yada-yada-yada.

That's what I feel, everyone is welcome to prove the opposite. I just don't trust anything radical, it smells of populism.

Doesn't everyone see the clearer picture now? The EU could change or simply add the addendum to accept as a whole, with Kosovo, if they really wanted to be "parners" with Serbia. But they don't- they want us to be vassals of the EU- second class "Europeans" where Brussels controls the strings- politically and economically. This might be the most important time in the history of Serbia- to stand up, with God's help, to protect the sovereignty of Serbia for future generations of our noble race. Don't let their rhetortic or "false promises" fool us. Be strong!

"That is difficult to imagine because Koštunica, whose only goal is power, has inflicted great damage on Serbia's relations with the EU."
--
So the powers of the EU believe they can recognise Kosovo and attempt to grab land but not consider that to damage relations with Serbia? Perhaps that is the case for the DS, but fortunately for us, the DSS are more principled.

As prime minister, Koštunica already had power but he handed it back to the people so they can decide whether to keep or sell Kosovo. This is not the sign of a power obsessed leader but a principled one.

It is the EU destroying relations here and not Koštunica.

The truth is that the text of the SAA will have to be ratified by all EU member states, and a number of them will have no reason to accept such a clause, as the majority of them has recognised the independence of Kosovo. Also, "full cooperation with ICTY" will not be realised by a SRS/DSS/SPS government under Kostunica. This is only to cheat on the Serbian public!

What a lote of nonsense and double talk from Brussels talking heads. I never even knew that they negotiated it looked like negotiations went one way Brussels down to Serbia how are they kidding and Tadic grasping at straws.
He explained that in addition to it being legally and technically impossible to enter substantial changes to the signed SAA ,may I add only for Serbia but for Brussels it can and will be changed at a whim. With all their new hypocritical self serving rules to come and conditions. All for the benefit of Brussels big members to shame Serbia and to make the hypocrites in Brussels feel totally superior. "That is difficult to imagine because Koštunica,(put in "Brussels" whose only goal is power, has inflicted great damage on EU's relations with the Serbs. "Serbia deserves Europe's support and a government that will embody Serbia's true interests." Only if Serbia is willing to follow Brussels hypocrites blindly over the abyss brought to you from Brussels talking heads.

Beta should have followed up with questions over what exactly then is the understanding of the SAA with regards Serbia's sovereignity - is it only a Serbia without Kosovo or one with ? Especially given that the EUcrats clearly and unequivocally uphold Georgia's sovereignity - a nation on the cusp of geograpghic Europe and nowhere close to signing up SAA!!!

Of course the EUcrats wouldn't want to clarify this and neither did Tadic or Delic (who weree only to happy to sign without question or clarity to deceive more votes) and which Belguim FM let slip;

“My understanding is that we’ve only signed the agreement with Serbia itself, without Kosovo,” said De Gucht.

These same EUcrats would probably pat themselves on their backs while telling Serbia and its electorate they "bombarded in 1999 for Serbia's best interets given that this action alone was responsible for removing Milosevic"

Only new negotiations can alter the signed agreement," a Council of Ministers official pointed out.

so it is possible, exccept in b92 headline?

and no, not kostunica damaged the relations, parts of eu did by acknowledging pseudo-indiependence for south-serbia!

btw., the same acknowledgers of pseudo-indiependence proved that their signature (under the un-resolution) isn´t worth anything, and that´s damaging to all eu-civilized world relations, isn´t it?
