EU-Russia talks receive “green light”

Some Europeans are both deaf and blind ! It seems that they read no newspspers and watch no TV ! They live in an imaginary world of their own. They live in the past for they fear to look at the truth. They are prisoners of their own imagination who escapes thinking that EU is in no position to dictate and put terms even to it's own members to say nothing of the Big Powers they have to compete !

With no energy souces ,with stagnating economy , with no military force ,with no will power, with no unity on any item how do they think they can impose something to Russia ! Crazy people of the past ! I personally believe that Russia is interested to sign the agreement 3-4 years later when our pipelines to China and the Pacific are ready. Then we shall see how they can defend Georgia and close their eyes that in the neighbouring Azerbaijan father has passed presidency to his son. Then they will have to explain how it happened that in Estonia the fascists prosecute heroes ,that original EU member is deprived of 15% of it's territory ect.

Don't you know Russia is the fatest growing economy in Europe with 8,3% GNP grouth last year !

What restructuring role you talk od ? Best if you confess it was a destruction role. A who did it tell you that "Russia needs the EU as much as the EU needs Russia" ? We need you but not as much as we used to when Poland bloked the talks. The new agreement is not expected to be signed before 2010 because EU need time to estimate the real situation. When you stop petting terms and start to ask us to do something then our partnership will be real.

The things run quite well. A driver of a bus or a Metro train in Moscow have salaries close to 2000 euro while the provinces still live much worse. But during 3 years Putin promices to double the real income of the people. And he is the one to keep his word. So kindly don't worry about us.

I highly doubt you will be able to make the sort of business that you do with the hlodomory of the East compared to the developed West who actually have the money.

Countries like Germany, Netherlands, Italy, France, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea and the US make up by far the majority of your import and export clients, and you know this very well!

Good for Russia that the economy is growing at 8,3%, I just hope that it's not just the affluent communities of Petrograd and Moskva that benefit, rather the extremely backward parts of Siberia, Caucasus and Far East. BTW Russia's growth is like that because most of Europe is already developed and can hardly grow, while Russia is proportionately far behind, which is why it is growing.

On the whole I just wish that the average Russian would benefit and not just the 10% oligarch billionaires.

This is probably the attitude that led to Russia's military performance against some Chechen and Afghan rebels. In any case, no one should be threatening anybody, otherwise you have cases like Ukraine and Georgia who would prefer our allegiance than Russia's.

To conclude Rote Kapella, Russia should have a far friendlier attitude towards the world than it does now. This is why so many young Russians would do anything to come and live in the EU.

The only thing I said was that things run much better than our enemies would like to. And best if you stop to live in the unrealistic world of the damned 90-th !

Eu is the biggest partner we enjoy but you are no longer in a position to dictate us what to do. There's nothing that we cannot buy outside EU at a much cheaper price. Meanwhile our main exports need no WTO or any special agreements signed. The world is lacking not only gas and oil but as well wood ,corn metals , chemicals , fertilizers , pure water and other things we have. The God have given them to us but not the EU ! Be a good Catholic and obey to this verdict !

So EU needs us much more urgent than we do. Especially when we killed all the alternative rootes of Asian gas and oil to Europe and are close to create Gas OPEC. Our influence in the rest of the world is bigger than the one of the EU and the US. Be realistic ! This is what the Poles always are lacking when they talk of Russia. You are an agent provocateur and I don't think you have the right to talk on behalf of Serbia. I saw how this country voted at the Intervision and you can do nothing about it. Yet it's ridiculous enough for a Serbian (if you are) to admire Russian problems. Most of the things you say are true but be sure we shall cope with it.

Vuk you have the same problem as Peter who talks of everything at the time. I can respond to everything you want but don't talk of the whole world. Take one or two problems.

- You will not have Mira Markovic for we respect Milosevic and the Serbs will have to live with it.

- Yes we have big corruption left after Eltsyn. Medvedev took personal responsibility to fight it. Let's see how he manages to.
