Great post by PRN,

"Kosovo has its own internationally elected and recognised officials."

Can someone say, PUPPET STATE!?
(jeju, 27 May 2008 01:59)

Dear Jeju,

Thanks for heeding my comment. Since I write fast I tend to misspell and/or write a word in wrong place.

Now pay attention...I meant:

"Kosovo has its own elected and internationally recognised officials."

I hope the above will satisfy you this time.

Thanks again boy, for pointing this out, trust me I didn't realise.

This debate is really getting very old now. Kosovo is Serbia/Kosovo is independent.

Just one question needs to be asked of the pro independence camp.
How are you going to get around Res. 1244?

Until this question is answered there is no point in going over the same old worn out argument that Kosovo is independent.

So anyone out there who might know the answer please enlighten us.

Olf, I have no idea what background the Serbian leaders in Kosovo have but I am fairly certain they are capable and determined.

Attempting to impose a solution on either side is just not going to work. This will eventually sort itself out once the political games are over.

What seems fairly clear is that Serbians rule themselves and Albanians either rule themselves or a ruled over by NATO.

But Serbia, Russia and China will ensure Kosovo legally remains a part of Serbia, no matter how many countries decide to recognise the occupation. What the Albanians believe does not really concern us.

Let's be realistic here.

I'm all for supporting independently run Serb institutions in Kosovo where Serbs make up the majority, such as a government in Mitrovica, (or as Olf lovingly refers to it as "Little Columbia", though from what I gather the drugs and the guns are more prolific SOUTH of the Ibar, but whatever), Novo Brdo, Strpce and the like.

But to actually have representatives in places where you can count the number of Serbs on one hand and still have a couple of fingers left over is a bit ludicrous. Unless there is a major campaign effort to resettle all 45,000 displaced Serbs back into Pristina, I'd hold off on establising any "Pristina Office" just yet.

Like I said yesterday: take what you can work with and be happy with that for the time being.

“Serbians rule their areas and remain loyal to Belgrade. Now that should be clear.”

I think what you are saying is precisely stated in Athisaari plan but with a slight difference.

ZK UK, I have a question for you and your likes:
What background your rulers in northern Kosova( ittle Columbia) have and are they capable to rule?

It seems that Belgrade tries to find out how far they can go there. But, since UNMIK declared the elections illegal and since they are the authority in Kosovo, i suppose that this will only remain a symbolic act.

To my dear Albanian friends, please do not think that you can ever have any authority over the Serbians in our province. Also, the Serbians have absolutely no desire to rule the Albanians.

The defacto partition remains where Serbians rule themselves and so do Albanians. If the Albanians want to believe their "Kosova" is independent, then so be it. Just remember that it is being blocked at the international and EU level by several key nations.

The Serbian offer of "more than autonomy but less than independence" is self-fulfilling. Sooner or later you will have to get your heads out of the sand and come back to reality.

Serbians rule their areas and remain loyal to Belgrade. Now that should be clear.

Louie! your absolutely WRONG. Kosovo is still a part of serbia. what took placed last february was ILLEGAL in the eyes of international law and resolution 1244. real fact kosovo has no seat in the UN therefore it is not a country at all.

Where in Kosovo?

Kosovo has its own internationally elected and recognised officials.

...or perhaps you mean it in this way...

a. Serb "Mayor of Prishtina" will sit or stay in Belgrade office...

b. Serb "Mayor of Peja" will sit or stay in Nis office...

c. Serb "Mayor of Prizren" will sit or stay in Kragujevac office...

etc....

If this is the case we have no problems.

You Mr. Samardzic are the so called Minister for Kosovo, but staying in Belgrade...I am failing to understand the sense of it ....you may also create a Minister for Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia...if it amuses you...

These types of Mickey Mouse ministries and or Serb 'mayor' in Kosovo are perfect LULLABIES to lull a child to sleep...

Peace to all

Cheers

Another empty promise from Minister,why!!!
Kosovo is gone my friend!
We have to move on and try to help Kosovans no matter nationality or religion!
Economic crisis are affecting everyone in the World,we have to help Kosovo to build up the economy,to create jobs so people can provide for their families and not feeding them with empty promises only to get some votes!
Kosovan Serbs will have their say only in Kosovo Institutions, faster they realize that it will be better from them,Kosovo is their country now and not Serbia!!!
