thank you, women in black. i've asked, so many times, why b92 doesn't carry reports and articles by serbian dissidents and intellectuals, why it chooses to highlight the predictable diatribes of the nationalists and i have to go to "bosnia reports" to find such voices. so sad.

it is always so easy to blame every single person, country, other than yourself for your own problems.

Serbia finally faceing up to her past means she is accepting responsibility for instigating death and destruction against former Yugoslavian civilian citizens. The Serbs will confess that their conspiring to illegaly and forcably carve out a Serbslavia out of Tito's Yugoslavia was eventually lead to her own self-destruction and decline. Only when admitting and compensating all the non-
Serb victims can Serbia have a chance to redeem herself. Until then she will be isolated with two or three friends who will take advantage of her for their own national interests.Serb confessing to being wrong is better late than never.

Of course Serbia must face up to the past. It must face up to the United States, Vatican, Germany and others responsible for the destruction of Yugoslavia. To paraphrase Churchill: It must fight on the landing grounds, it must fight in the fields and in the streets, it must fight in the hills and it must never surrender.
