What is the role of ICO? Who had authorised the head ICO to operate in Kosovo? UNSC? NO. ICO had imposed themselves to the mission. The other thing is that there is an internal policy in ICO not to recruit minorities? I wonder why? just for curiosity the list of people hired by ICO, count the number of people (minorities)!? I know there are no serbians or minorities in Kosovo! Or they don´t possess the fake university diplomas as the Kosovo Albanians. Ladies and Gents please stop with this politics games and do not mislead the people creating HOPES, when the path to reach their dreams has been diverted several times. I wonder when you are going to accomplish what you have promised.

Of course it is for best if occupation forces leave Serbia. Since with them will leave all illegal immigrants and criminals from Albania.

And that will be end of your 'free "Kosova"'.

the question is can europe have a common external policy? It seems that no, because of internal policies because of old "priviledge relation " with usa or russia...
So better for albanians not to count on europeens, and go ahead without eulex.

Ahmet Isufi :
“who cares about UNMIK or EULEX Missions. These missions are irrelevant to Kosovars.”
Ahmet has hit the nail on the head. EULEX, as much as UNMIK, is there to appease Serbia, to make sure Kosova is not completely independent, as it still needs to be “supervised” like a teenager. That can make Serbia feel superior. Its major aim also is to increase legal norms and regulations to protect the Serb minority. That is a god thing of course, but it’s needed by the Serbs more than by the Albanians. Actually, if I still thought the situation was akin to that up to 2004, I would see EULEX as necessary to protect minorities, but I’ve been impressed with the complete lack of violence in recent times, and especially since the UDI. I believe the Kosova govt has a real interest of its own, even if only pragmatic, to rein in any gangsters, knuckleheads and goons that want to attack minorities, and so the only excuse for EULEX “supervising” is increasingly irrelevant. Still, it is ironic that Kosova accepts it with goodwill while Serbia insists on stabbing the K Serbs in the back by blocking it – a purely opportunist move. So if you want Kosova to be fully independent without al this “supervision” stuff, keep up the good work blocking it Serbia. The result will never be that you’ll rule again, that much is for sure.

Lenard:
“That is interesting the people and countries how bombed Serbia want to be in charge.”
Yes, so instead of those countries beig in charge, how about the novel idea of the people who actually live in Kosova being in charge …

"Kosovo will always remain free and independent"
"...who cares about UNMIK or EULEX"
"If UNMIK leaves and EULEX never comes it will be 100x better"

Are such comments based on ignorance, arrogance or both?

As I recently read ..."You are run by an appointed High Representative and bodies appointed by the U.S., European Union and NATO. An old-style colonial viceroy and imperialist administrators have control over foreign and domestic policy. U.S. imperialism has merely consolidated its direct control of a totally dependent colony in the heart of the Balkans.”

Niall,

The problems EULEX is experiencing are far more difficult than just International law, which the Big Powers tend to ignore when it goes against their interest.

The problem now is EU consensus is falling apart on the issue of EULEX’s mandate in Kosovo.

Another failed experiment.

Koha Ditore reports statements from diplomats in Brussels who speak of “political and legal problems.”

I think this sentence alone speaks volumes. What the Brussels mandarins speak of "political and legal problems" is quite simple, international law, namely UN Resolution 1244, Kumanovo Agreement and Article 4 of the Helsinki Final Act 1976, all of which reaffirms first of all of Serbia's right to exist. Secondly, its right as a legal entity to exercise its soveregnty over all of its territory inclusing the Autonomous Province of Kosmet.

Finally, the unexpected dogged resistance from Serbia to maintain its territorial integrity allied with strong support from Russia, China, India, Indonesia, South Africa and many other states which are hindering Washington's and Brussels's plan to dismantle and destroy Serbia.

Could it be that EU's best laid plans sttarted to fall apart when their D yeS failed to obtain a majority?

It is clear that some in the EU believe Tadic would sell out Kosovo & Metohija and one wonders what he has said to them behind closed doors to give such an impression???

Everyone understands what is at stake when US insist that Serbia should be run by D yeS while the US pile ever more pressure on Montenegro to act illegally and no doubt will give them EU admission if they do so seeing as the US act as the apparent and believe they are the controlling nation of EU!!!

Jovan and Niall,
remember one thing that; after June 15 things will never be the same and who cares about UNMIK or EULEX Missions. These missions are irelevant to Kosovars.
The way things are going in serbia , Kosova will get a big wave of recognitios right after 15 of June, which will be a big suprise to Serbia.

“If no solution is found before June 15 when the Kosovo constitution comes into force, then it is unknown what will happen from a legal point of view,” say the sources.

That's what happens when you build a house on sand.

If they'd stayed within international law in the first place then things would be able to move forward.

Now there is a stalemate which means having to return to the table to sort things out properly.

What a waste of time and money. Imagine if just a portion of the money poured down the drain could reach the people who actually need it to make their lives slightly easier.
