Well Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, the ball is in your court.
What are you going to do about this unprovoked attack on Serbian rights?

Is this hot head going to be disciplined for acting without orders or is this going to be brushed under the carpet like many other incidents.

If this UN representative can't keep his emotions in check he has to go.

I and I'm sure many others want an answer to this.

From the UNMIK press release:

Beta: I have a question for Mr. Ivanko, in my hand is the statement of the Coordination Centre for Kosovo and Metohija, which says that this morning in Gracanica and officer from UNMIK Police, Robert Apple, at about 09:30 has tried to under an armed threat arrest the coordinator for municipality of Pristina, Slavisa Nikolic, under the accusation that he has organized the Parliamentarian and local elections. Is there any order of UNMIK or UNMIK Police that the Serbs who participated in the elections are to be arrested or is this the individual will of Mr. Robert Apple?

Alex: Well, I just asked Arbër, as far as I know, there is no authorization to arrest anybody, regarding the local elections, unless they were involved in some incident, criminal incident, but I am not aware of any major criminal incidents that happened during the election campaign, and our position is the same, these elections are illegal, but I am not aware of any authorization to arrest anybody. However taking your point, I will check since you are saying that it happened this morning, I will check with the Police and get back to you.

Well boys & girls... this is called: absolute discrimination of Serbs in their own land by "occupying forces of the west." As teh situation in the Serbian province of KiM is called "modern occupation." Who gave america the right to build their monster base in Serbia? Who gave america the right to give Serbian land to someone else? They are like pirates who go around the world and do whatever they like, they shoot first and then ask questions later. Truly sad indeed...

Ban Ki-Moon does not run a tight ship, does he?

First Gallucci versus Juecker, and now Ivanko fighting with someone else in the chain of command. or who knows perhaps Gallucci and Ivanko are allied now.

Whatever, UNMIK doesn't have it's stuff together. Then again, it has a history--since Kouchner-- of tacitly supporting ethnic cleansing and, also, of protecting war criminals such as Haradinaj despite attempts by the Hague and del ponte to bring them to justice.

" According to the statement, today’s attempted arrest is one of the reasons for the great tension felt by Serbs in central Kosovo."

..Nooo, kidding?

Surround a people in a small area with barbed wire and hostile bandits shooting and killing them from outside. Go in with "peace keepers" and stir it up by "arresting" some and beating up others, leave again and come back for more tomorrow...

How does that feel? ask occupied K-Serbs in their own land, ask palestinians in theirs..

B92 the story is incomplete at this time. What was the man charged with? why was the UN arresting him at work? How was the arrest prevented?
