Dear all,

I think the “accompanying document” is a problematic one for the Serbs.

But...almost nothing can be done, only rejection by parliament...

Waiting a little more, may be very constructive for the Balkans, until the number of EU countries recognising Kosovo increases and you will have it in BOLD and CAPITAL then,...KOSOVO IS INDEPENDENT & SERBIA IS INDEPENDENT...

The option available will then be :
1.SIGN IN or
2.SIGN OUT (fro decades to come).

Cheers

@Princip, UK - a question for you if you don't mind:

Who - or rather WHAT - is/was this Solana guy? Why is he so important that you think this SAA agreement deserves to bear his name?

Vuk

"(led to 6, 000 civilian deaths and the destruction of one-third of Serbia’s infrastructure in 78 days"

What 6000 deaths? The figure is up to 528 civilians, 169 soldiers. Still terrible, but a LOT less than Milosvic would have managed to kill if the wars had been going on still.

The war between Yugo states killed how many people? We are perfectly capable of killing on our own, without help from NATO.

Princip Solana was not a 'firm believer' in the SCG agreement. It was Solana's agreement that he sought for Serbia to go along with.
Kostunica supported Solana's agreement then didn't he?

Funny that how when one supports something one agrees with it is ok and when one doesn't, it suddenly becomes 'Solana's' agreement.

Accompanying doc. is actually the first one signed..,than -after the SAA was signed..SAA is actually/practically not in function..Belgium and Holland can "take back" SAA if Mladic is not hunted (up/down).

The problem is that surface of the truth means nothing till doc. is publicly presented and
painfull truth is that it can be always changed (in the meantime) according to "political" or election circumstances Tadic will face those days..

This is West "ability" to cover/"undercover" their people. Sad.

Gojko,

I understand...You love Serbia,I can see that. Choose from "three evil" (in your case) and vote for Nikolic - that will be closer to your "demands". Nothing else I can say right now. Take care.

I am sick of everybody all ready. Nikolic, Tadic, Kustunica who can we trust. This a mockery of the Serbian people. Nobody cares about the people in Kosovo or even the Serbs in Central Serbia. Its all a mafia and the people as usually are blind and will continue to struggle regardless who wins on the 11th.

What Belgium and Holland wants in this "electronic form" document,Tadic!!

"Electronic form" - This was nothing more than Cyber-signature....

There's no modern technology can cought Mladic!!

Just a few days ago, Tadic was telling the nation that the SAA was a fully legal document. OK, we're used to his lies by now.

Here's the second paragraph from a report on the EU website...
[quote]The Interim Agreement will take effect, and the SAA will be presented to parliaments for ratification, once the Council decides that Serbia has begun to cooperate fully with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.[/unquote]

So, the SAA with Serbia only becomes a fully legal document AFTER the EU Council verifies that Serbia is in full co-operation with ICTY (ie Mladic please), and AFTER each of the current EU members states ratify the document in their own national parliaments.

http://www.consilium.europa.eu/cms3_fo/focusView.ASP?lang=en

At this point, the entire document is nothing more than a bunch of worthless papers. What is, or is not, written on an accompanying document is irrelevant. The DS is not getting Serbia into the EU any faster than the DSS.

Sam

The SAA signing(or EU membership) and Kosovo are not related. Has anybody noticed any difference since the signing ? Its simply Kostnicas' intepretation. Serbia can attempt to get it back even if its a EU member.
Even further it can block Kosovo entry forever once its inside. But hatered spreading and war mongering will just make the world feel that Kosovo independance was the right decision. Even Russia wants Serbia in the EU and has not even offered a Serbia - Russia Union as much as Nikolic wants it.

In the ever more desperate attempt to gain more votes (polls show DSS at around 13 percent) we are now entering the twilight zone, where everything is a mysterious conspiracy unless you vote for Kostunica.

The bottom line is that the people of Serbia will reply to Kostunica 'what have you shown us that is different from Seselj's SRS and why should we not vote for them?'.

The reply never came and the rhetoric was never as good as SRS' either. Of course Kostunica won't care if he is prime minister but a lot of members on DSS' lists will be pretty angry at losing their seats and cushy ministries.

Some while ago I started to wonder if DS stood for Double standards, now however it looks like Deceive Serbians is more reflective!!!

Martin, why has the full document not been published ??? Especially when given the other day the following was quite publically stated;
“My understanding is that we signed the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, SAA, with Serbia alone, without Kosovo,” said Karel De Gucht.

Lets also be reminded that so called great 'Friend' of Serbia "Solana is one of the EU officials from the times of the ’99 NATO-led attack on Serbia, and he already made an (in)significant contribution to the “improvement” of Serbia’s economic and political stability. He was one of the “firm believers” in NATO’s “Merciful Angel” air strikes (led to 6, 000 civilian deaths and the destruction of one-third of Serbia’s infrastructure in 78 days) and he was one of the “firm believers” in the Kumanovo Peace accords between the former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević that had established the UN Resolution 1244 on the basis of which Kosovo remains an autonomous region within Serbia (Kosovo unilaterally declared independence on the 18th of February and Solana was the first EU official to go to Kosovo and congratulate the act). Finally, he was also a “firm believer” in the federation of Serbia and Montenegro which ended in Montenegrin secession after a referendum in 2006. By chance or not, every mission in the Balkans that was carried out by Javier Solana has ended up weakening Serbia and sending a wrong message to the people about the true EU’s intentions towards this Balkan state." http://www.groundreport.com/Opinion/David-and-Goliath-What-does-the-Stabilization-and-

This is slander par excellence. Where is the evidence, Kostunica? Anyone can make wild, completely unsubstantiated claims but one would expect more from a Prime Minister. You disgrace yourself Kostunica. Show us evidence of that accompanying document or keep your mouth shut!

And for all those who criticised B92 for publishing the DS' groundless attack on the SRS official who allegedly declined to witness at the Hague - you said b92 deliberately chose sides by publishing a factless accusation against the SRS. Well.. this article should make you guys shut your mouths too. B92 obviously doesn't discriminate between news stories. It evidently reports whatever statements are made by the main parties, be they well-substantiated or not.

That “accompanying document” that Tadić and Đelić signed was probably the deed to their new villa in the South of France.

It will probably come in use when they get the boot for attempting to sell Kosovo.

3 days and counting.
