There is a saying in a certain country and a certain territory which is the neighbor of that country:

"If your Mercedes breaks down, just leave it where it is and get an other one. Don't worry, they all are stolen".

Indeed, most Russians are poor. They cannot afford to be as generous like these lucky people. Car break-down (even if it's a Zhiguli) would be a major financial headache in Russia for the entire family. These poor, backwards-thinking Russkies have to WORK to get money and buy an other car.

I should probably immigrate to the single European country where Mercedes is for free and no one needs to work. Instead, we have headache with Serbian working visa... stupid me! Why, why, why?!?

YOU SAY :" ... there is enough Mafia in Russia and that they should deal with their problems..."

PLUS : you said some other things which I do not call stupid or silly. Let's just say THINGS.
=============================

In fact the difference is that Russia is a state to obtain mafia and Kosovo is a mafia trying to obtain a Serbian province. And it's a Russian problem too unless there's a solution to satisfy both the Serbs and the K-A.

What you call democracy I take as hypocracy and it's only 25% of the world to have no shame. So do not relax. Nothing is finished yet. And follow the events in Georgia for it has direct sequences to the situation in Kosovo i Metohija. I believe one of these days Russia will break the neutrality in Serbian events and say it open that we are interested in SRS+DSS victory. And if it happens you'd better ad.hoc.
start to study both Serbian and Russian.

You're right we have problems with democracy as a form of keeping state power within the elites but it will not help you. Neither can you hide behind the Yankees. The only thing that can bring peace to you is a compromise with the Serbs and other neighbouring nations to hate you unanimously. Can you please mention a nation which does not hate you ? Just one to let the people around laugh !

What journalists are you talking of ? Please mention 10 of them killed during Putin ! Don't read what is written on the fences. Better link to http://www.srpska.ru/ for better understanding of the Russian sight at the events.

Yet you are right people in the richest country in the world should live much better. But because I am afraid Putin will personally shoot me down I hereby ask you kinly to remind him of this problem. By the way a driver of a bus in Moscow after taxes have a salary about 1200-1500 euro cash. So there's some progress. And if you can pretend to be a Serb you may come here and ejoy this job. But please don't steal the bus ... Otherwise everybody will guess where you are from.

> Serb officials in Kosovo told him that the only cause of violence in northern Kosovo were the attempts by the international community and UNMIK to implement the institutional control of an independent Kosovo.

True enough.

Let's hope Guehenno has the will & the mandate to investigate ALL aspects of UNMIK's irresponsible raid to arrest those court workers on the 17th, & doesn't just focus on the riot itself.

> As for the Kosova mafia leave it to their goverment to deal with this problem.

Hard for the so-called authorities in pristina to deal with the albanian mafia when their leaders, both past & present, have strong links with & are involved with the very mafia they are supposed to be 'dealing with'.

Real question is where does one begin, & the other end.

Guehenno said that law and order must be respected and that problems could not be solved through violence.

wow tell that to the USA AND EU AND the kla!

This is a reply to the gentlman who left a previos comment. I think that there is enough Mafia in Russia and that they should deal with their problems. As for the Kosova mafia leave it to their goverment to deal with this problem. In Kosova there is a democratically elected goverment, recognised by the all major democracies in the world, What can you say about your Goverment. Be thankfull that the major democratic countries of the world where the internet roots are, has made your opinions read by others. Can you openly critisise your goverment the majority of your people are so poor and they are barely existing, while the others are spending millions in the capitals of the world. Surely they would shoot you if you speak so freely in Russia. they have killed hundreds of free speaking journalists. Who has done that? mafia or the goverment wich is known in the eyes of the free people of the world the true Russian Mafia..The people of Russia should start orientating themself to be true democrats and start sorting their own problems and be a member of the the true democracies in the world. Sadly that thinking can get you shot in your Russia with the 7 eyes...

There's a Russian proverb saying " Child with 7 nurses always have an eye missing" ( "У семи нанек - дитя без глазу" ). And this is exactly what we can see in Kosovo i Metohija prvince now. There are several athorities whose legacy is not unanimous :

1. Central Belgrad athorities ;
2. Local Serbian athorities ;
3. UNMIC athorities ;
4. Snake guerilla athorities ;
5. EU athorities ;
6. KFOR athorities ;
7. K-Albanian mafia.

As a result no order in many parts of the province and the started robberies with the "policemen" involved. Also no way out to be seen. So there's only one real choice here : EITHER THE BALANCE OF INTERESTS IS ESTABLISHED BY THE CIVILLIANS OR THE MILITARIES WILL SOME DAY ESTABLISH THE BALANCE OF FORCES.
