Mike and Ataman made intelligent comments which is very rare here.Prn and azir you guys make me laugh.Who are you to take about this subject when the KLA murdered any albanian that even talked to a Serb and witness intimidation is the norm in Kosovo.Remember your leaders killed their political opponents so anyone who reads your venom towards Srbija can just laugh becuase we know what you are made of.R-1244 is correct if you are going to kill Tadic you certainly do not announce it.I would not be surprised if someone in the Tadic camp sent this letter to gain politically.

Fellow Serbs let's not descend into the lawlessness which has taken hold of our southern province of Kosovo, where Albanian witnesses are threatened against testifying against their leaders by other Albanians, such as what happened recently in the hague.

We respect the rule of law above all else. Let's return Serbia to its place as cultural leader of europe as in the past.

Here in the States this is known as the October Surprise. Google Reagan’s deal with the Ayatollah or Nixon’s “peace is at hand.”

The letter is obviously a forge. Boris Tadic is almost an asset to the pro-Serbian parties.
We should all wish him a long and fruitful life somewhere in his beloved Europe ('Kosova'?) as a 'political refugee'. He can take those thirty silver pieces with him.
Good Riddens.

PRN:
You ever get tired of churning out the propaganda? Is a lot easier when you write from conviction rather than from the KLA handbook.

Tell me please.. what are your thoughts on this:
> The Human Rights Watch (HRW) says that information has surfaced supporting claims of “horrible crimes in Kosovo and Albania after the war.”

Is about del Ponte's allegations that KLA & albanians abducted & murdered serbs for the purposes of 'organ trafficking' of their body parts.

(peter, sydney, 5 May 2008 19:45)

Dear Peter,

Anyway...let me answer your questions.

Question 1.You ever get tired of churning out the propaganda?

Wowww...well, look who's talking...it appears to me that you have problems in comparing three different things:
A)opinions
B)facts
C)propaganda
...I assumed by now you should have learned that in school...

My comments are a mixture of A and B or describing it in mathematical equation, (as it may be easy for you to understand), would look like this..
Opinions + Facts = Comment (in b92).

Boy I hope it is clear now.

In addition, while reading your comments, any, with primary school knowledge, can sense that your comments are either written by immature individuals or grown ups intentionally propagating untruths...(you needn't be genius to realise this)...I am sure you know this and you do it intentionally...

Question 2. Tell me please.. what are your thoughts on this:
> The Human Rights Watch (HRW) says that information has surfaced supporting claims of “horrible crimes in Kosovo and Albania after the war.”

Let me tell, although I have already expressed my opinion on this about 2-3 weeks ago.

Del Ponte's allegations that KLA & albanians abducted & murdered serbs for the purposes of 'organ trafficking' of their body parts ARE IN MY OPNION TOTALLY NON SENSE.

Let me tell you why.

If there was any truth even in small atomic proportions, Ms. Del Ponte, or Serbian authorities would have known several years ago...

I think, as things stand, Ms. Del Ponte should be sued and taken to court ASAP by several countries and/or institutions for spreading such ridiculous comment that can only be described as simple lies. The list is as follows.

a. SERBIAN GOVERNMENT should sue Ms. Del Ponte for "not" telling the truth for several years while in office as a chief of ICTY.

b. ICTY and the UN (as employers) should sue Ms. Del Ponte for irresponsible behaviour (breaching contract) - for not informing what she already "knew" in 2006(The book was finished in mid 2007 but the "facts" were there in 2006)...everyone knows that she was in office until Dec 2007. Why did she say anything in the meantime or in Haradinaj case about the so-called "facts".

c. KOSOVO and ALBANIA should sue Ms. Del Ponte for tarnishing our image...without any credible evidence

d. SWITZERLAND should also sue her for tarnishing their image and that of the Swiss embassy in Argentina...(she should be recalled immediately)

e. ITALY should be sue for allowing her to publish book with some fictitious non-sense in it that can have a negative impact for the progress of the region towards stability...

I hope the above answer your concerns...but whether it satisfies...hmmm...not sure ...well…nothing can be done, but remember…TRUTH ALWAYS HURTS

Peace to you and the rest

Cheers

I am sure, both Hungarian PM F. Gyurcsány and his main opponent V. Orbán have a full libraries of such letters. Hungary is even more divided and the level of political debate is probably at it's lowest. There is probably no other country in the world, where the leader of coalition partner can openly say to the P.M. somewhat like "My dear Ferenc, the People just wanted to tell you: go to 3.14*ka". Well... that happened for real recently and I was shocked. (Where 3.14 is the known Greek letter)

Such letter is probably just a piece of trash, product of mind of a frustrated kid. At least the "3.14 - word" is still not considered to be kosher in Belgrade (or Pristina or Tirana) to say in Parliament... it means, things can be still worse than they are.

@Joe: thanks for the link. Since I move to the area all this pain the the rear is known to us. Yes, Kosovo je Srbija - but there is economy, too. Besides, Albanians need to be convinced that "Kosovo je Srbija" - and without economy it won't be easy. What Americans do say here is irrelevant. I have to say, Americans dropped Hungary like a hot cake in 1956. They betrayed Czechoslovakia in 1968, too. How bravely they did protect the poor people in South VietNam (should I say "escape from Saigon?") is well-known.

From justice point of view, historically and also morally Nikolic is 100% correct. I don't want to go in detail, why - but it is currently irrelevant. There is a huge Albanian population out there who cannot be killed, cleansed, etc. Kosovo cannot exist without deal with the rest of Serbia and on the other side, thes Albanians need to be convinced that indeed, they better off in Srbija. Now, that is hard and here Nikolic is not the right person (mildly speaking).

From political trickery point of view the current set-up is an ideal one: there is a P.M. who strongly appeals to the "West" and there is a strong opposition who is a perfect black-mail for the "West". I.e. "If you don't give us your sweetest carrots, Russian tanks will roll in New York". The source of this has nothing to do with Albania, Serbia, E.U., etc. As I expressed many times, it's roots are within neo-conservative (has nothing to do with conservative!) thinking so strong in America. They regard America having the destiny of leading the struggle of "Good" versus "Evil". In their doctrine is clear: if there is no "Evil", it has to be invented. Currently, Russia became again one of such "Evil"-s. Please read all the nonsense like "On May 11 Serbia is on crossroads" or "Serbia's choice is Europe or Russia" and other political garbage. In that garbage we can read indirectly, Russia is a big, evil bear and if you are a bad boy, that bear will eat you. Unfortunately, neo-cons are pretty evil and busy destroying America for the gain inside of their wallets. If I would be Jesus, I would ask them about how their religious righteousness and Christian faith does co-exist with their borderless greed and self-enrichment and what kind of place they think is reserved for them after their death
/ hint: how many FARENHEIT degrees? ;-) /

Anyway, I did not give up the hope, some kind of reason will prevail after the May 11 elections... I would be extremely reluctant to vote for anyone who claims to have a "Radical" moniker attached... Apropos, "attached", "elections" and "moniker".... We have also elections coming up. Just hope, I won't greet the other significant of our future president with Russian phrase "Моника, стисни зубы!" ;-)

Jovan- I repeat I was not making a political statement just my observation. What is of paramount importance to me is how will Serbia maintain it's territorial integrity, return of property, join schengen and for Serbia to prosper. Who can deliver that has my vote.

"Death threats like this show the world again the very sad state of tolerance and democraty in Serbia. Where else could it happen in Europe? Maybe just in Belarus and Russia. It just shows how far is Serbia behind the tolerant democratic mind set of most European countries. Is it 25-40 years?"

Joe, I know it's your nature to basically take one small example of something and use it to stereotype an entire ethnic race. You do it all the time, and I've grown to accept it. But before you decide to once again classify the people of a country you've never been to, let alone understand, please bear in mind that Martin Luther King was assassinated. John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated. Ronald Reagan was almost assassinated. Where did all of these happen? The United States. Does that mean that we Americans have no sense of civility, tolerance, or modernity? I'm quite sure President Bush gets dozens of death threats a week yet we don't hear about them because they remain out of the media. How many crackpots in our own country do you think does this? Remember that kook with the anthrax letters addressed to Tom Daschle? And moreover, God forbid something like this happens in Belgrade. Do you honestly think the Serbian people are going to be OK with it? If you want to comment on the vileness of the letter to Tadic, you have every right to, and I fully agree that the world is full of idiots and probably always will be. But if you're going to once again chalk this up to the general level of tolerance of an entire people, you really need to rethink what you write.

Perhaps Tadiq should recall the MUP from Kosova to protect him...or are the ex-SHPK (KPS) and MUP in Kosova sending him these lovely letters?

Whatever the case, no more deaths and violence. One resort to violence and Sheshel will return to power---again.

Time for everyone to calm down a little. This kind of thing should not happen but unfortunately it does, in all walks of life. It's only a little while ago that our football manager here in Ireland was receiving death threats. People who want to kill do not announce it. Boris Tadic should throw this letter in the bin and forget about it.

Easy for you to say that Mr Ireland
Maybe Zoran Djindjic threw that letter in the bin but look what happened to him.

Certainly a lot being written about this bit of nonsense.. 'moths to a candle' syndrome I guess.. well watch out then - here comes another one ;)

A sense of perspective might be applicable people - wouldn't surprise me if per capita, George W gets more death threats than Boris, or any other politician. Doesn't mean you ignore them, but is no non-politcal reason to publicise them.

How about just the number of Actual assassinations?

Europe is playing games with both Kosovo and Serbia. The EU itself does have a clear stand on Kosovo and that is encouraging nationalism in Serbia. For as long as EU stands divided on the issue of Kosovo, Serbia will always lay a claim to Kosovo and nationalists in Serbia will always play the Kosovo card in front of the Serbian voters.

The divisive EU is playing a dangerous game by putting the democratic forces in permanent danger in Serbia. The EU stagnation encourages nationalism and gives hope to Serbs that one day Kosovo will again be ruled by Belgrade. This fake illusion unfortunately still persists among some EU members. EU has to make a decision as unit, as a team as to where it stands on Kosovo then follow suit with both countries. Otherwise it is sending wrong messages to both countries.

How does Kosovo enter EU when a dozen states have not recognize it? How does Serbia enter EU when more than half of the EU members have recognized Kosovo? Anyone could see here the EU is sending conflicting messages to both sides and rather sooner than later it needs to clean up its act and start acting as a unit.

Mr. David J. Jones, u seem to be very informed aboput the history of the Balkans. but that is one mistake u made and i quote: Kosovo i Metohija je Srbija.
well, that is deeply wrong, because is like saying that Germany belongs to France, although i doubt anyone has the guts to say that. anyway, Kosova and Serbia are to different nations that have nothing in common and that will never be bound to each other by any means. i think serbs should forget Kosova, which they stangely and in an inexplicable way consider the cradle of their culture, and move forward to Europe. it would be a great mistake for Belgrade and al the serbs to continue pursuing their dream about Kosova.

The DS campaign is as dirty as usual, which is typical when run by the enemies of Serbia.

Wow,

I doubt they invented this "death letter". However, they decided to publicize it mostly because of the perceived influence it may have during an electoral campaign.
There are crazies all over the place and all the candidates should have adequate protection.
I also believe that Tadic is not Djindjic and there cannot be a reasonable mind behind a plan like this.

It looks like the tensions are running very high in Serbia.
Soon it will snap with a big bang. I hope it's not the bang of the bullet, or say it in another way, it's not Serbia's way. This is for the sake of human life. Otherwise the turmoil in Serbian political affairs will only help for absolute recognition of Kosova in the world arena, which is the next goal.
Other than that, whatever happens in Belgrade "remains in Belgrade".

But if you're going to once again chalk this up to the general level of tolerance of an entire people, you really need to rethink what you write.

Ataman

pre 15 godina

Wow,

Barack Obama too is commenting on this site. :-D

Zeka,

This is an interesting article about Serbia on Bloomberg. Here is the link http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=aAvWdRrRqmK4&refer=home

Why would someone send a death threat to Tadić one week before he gets the boot? It doesn't make sense.

The DS campaign is as dirty as usual, which is typical when run by the enemies of Serbia.

Time for everyone to calm down a little. This kind of thing should not happen but unfortunately it does, in all walks of life. It's only a little while ago that our football manager here in Ireland was receiving death threats. People who want to kill do not announce it. Boris Tadic should throw this letter in the bin and forget about it.

don´t worry Zeka, instead of spreading that LDP-poison here, you should be happy, since soon the first step into the direction of liberation of Kosovo and Metohija will be taken.

as soon as the governmnet changes, you will see that life goes on, and there will be no isolation...

by the way: who´s that poor kid that is talking about Serbia as a neighbouring country? =)

wishful thinking, my dear, wishful thinking...

Is about del Ponte's allegations that KLA & albanians abducted & murdered serbs for the purposes of 'organ trafficking' of their body parts.

afrim hoxha:
> If Tadic does not feel secured in his country in Serbia, he can come to the neighboring country Kosova and we will protect him.

Am sure Serbia will extend same courtesy to Thaci & Haradinaj when justice finally starts to catch up with them.

Joe:
> Death threats like this show the world again the very sad state of tolerance and democraty in Serbia. Where else could it happen in Europe? Maybe just in Belarus and Russia.

Tell me again.. and note that I am not just talking about death threats here.. just how many US presidents have had assassination attempts made against them over the years?

How about just the number of Actual assassinations?

Happens everywhere doesn't it.

Pz:
Forget about the 'purse snatching'.

Just how are the they going with catching & putting away the many hundreds (if not thousands) of perp's involved in the 2004 province wide riots by K-albanians.

Here is what Amnesty International says about 'justice' in Kosovo:

Yup - lots of moths - some of them now singed :)

To "expert" joe:

Isn't this what happened to those american presidents? does jfk ring a bell?

Perhaps Tadiq should recall the MUP from Kosova to protect him...or are the ex-SHPK (KPS) and MUP in Kosova sending him these lovely letters?

Whatever the case, no more deaths and violence. One resort to violence and Sheshel will return to power---again.

Jovan- I repeat I was not making a political statement just my observation. What is of paramount importance to me is how will Serbia maintain it's territorial integrity, return of property, join schengen and for Serbia to prosper. Who can deliver that has my vote.

Ataman
