There is a state down there Mr Mladenovic like it or not. Kosova is a sovereign state state recognized internationaly so sign the paper and everyone is happy and stop isolating yourself. Every serbian politician is saying that Milosevic's era is long gone but in reality that era is still present in Serbia, stop isolating yourselves and look toward the future.

I happen to speak to many Poles Hungarians Slovaks etc.
Although the acceptance of EU differs largly in these countries but more and more residents are dissatisfied with EU .Many people in their 40s and 50s compare EU to COMCON.There are countries like for example Hungary where the majority of people say that they were simply colonized by WEST and despite hating russians admit that life was much better 20 years ago.
Anyway the fact the you stay outside EU does not mean automatically that you become a member of some non existing russia centered new COMCON which you stated.Post-Yeltsin RUssia where the economy is not navigated by gaydar and balcerowicz kind chinoivniks has nothing to do with COMCON.
AS a matter of fact the bolshevics moved from MOSCOW to BRussels long ago.Eu is more and more a lame duck.
I bet on serbs staying outside EU and doing business as a non aligned country.

Now, remember Kosovo is free, independent and sovreign, regardless of what happens with Serbia. In 2 years Kosovo will sign a such agreement seperately and Serbia shall recognize Kosovo as well!

Kostunica as a lawyer should realize that the SAA has absolutely nothing to do with Kosovo. Serbia signed the SAA with the EU as a whole (all 27 states agreed to this, even Belgium and Holland), which means it is the first step in an agreement between Serbia and the EU that Serbia will one day be integrated into the EU. It has NOTHING to do with Kosovo, because the EU does not have an official view on the Kosovo affair due to 4 of the 27 members stating that they will never recognize Kosovo, meaning the EU cannot take a stand on the Kosovo affair, and as it stands now, the EU is, ipso facto, against Kosovo's recognition thanks to Spain, Romania, Slovakia and Cyprus (maybe Greece too).

By signing the SAA with the EU, Serbia is only stating its desire to eventually join the EU, it is not recognizing Kosovo. The issues are not related legally at all.

If Kostunica is saying that his government wants to annul the SAA because he took offense to some of the EU states recognizing Kosovo, then that has got to be the most idiotic thing anyone can do. It was already bad enough that he called back the foreign ministers. The EU can indeed give Serbia the stability and security (not to mention the funds) to develop Serbia into a prosperous country, something they could never possibly achieve if they isolate themselves from the West (and align themselves with countries like Russia, China, Cuba, Belarus, Venezuela, Libya etc.), Serbia would remain 50 years behind Europe, and then when they would realize their mistake and push for EU integration later, they will be so behind that probably by then, even Kosovo and Moldova will be ahead of Serbia! If they choose to be unaligned and trade with both sides, great, but with stubborn and arrogant politicians (like Kostunica is), Serbia will turn into the next Moldova, Belarus or Armenia of Europe. Trust me, ask any Pole, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Romanian or Bulgarian whether they would prefer to be aligned with Russia or with the West, they will tell you without reservations the West, because Russia only caused our economies to rot to the point that we are 20 years behind the West in terms of everything, something no Serb can understand, since they were part of an unaligned movement that had open trade with both sides all the time.

Slovaks and Romanians are against Kosovo independence, but at the same time a part of the EU (they would not even think of joining Russia's new COMECON with countries like Libya, Cuba and such). Serbia can be too. Why? Because the SAA signing and Kosovo independence are two totally separate/unrelated issues.

Kostunica, think of the children, because if you isolate Serbia from the prosperous countries in the world, you will become hated and they will push for a pro-Western government anyway, by then you will be as hated as Milosevic. Otherwise, enjoy Russian financial aid and developmental funds, hahaha.

Personally, I blame Kostunica for this mess. He never should have disolved the parliament. He could have easily formed an alliance with the SRS and we would not be where we are. It is too late for Kostunica to start accusing anyone of treason because he controlled the parliament. Shame on YOU Voyo!!

Some people here may remember that I am strictly condemning the Kosovo declaration and its recognition by some states. As I wrote there is significant similarity to Munich 1938, and the unilateral separation can not solve as a stable fundament for future.I can underestand that recognition by majority of EU states (thanks good for any next day Czech government did not yet) is felt as injury in Serbia but I do not think this should prevent our Serbian friends from taking a self-confident place in Europe. From Czechia,the opinion of Mr. Jovanovic sounds worth of thinking: "This makes Serbia a normal country, and our future better than our past. Every step closer to Europe is a step further from the problems which are destroying the lives of millions of people. The policies of Koštunica and the Radicals are policies of parties that are destroying their country".

It was declared clearly that SAA is "Kosovo neutral" if there will occur request for Serbian recognition of Kosovo, Serbs have always possibility to say NO and anyone in Europe shall understand it (by the way who was proclaiming that Kosovo was the special case? he should regard it even while thinking about future solution. With SAA Serbia will have stronger position on re-opening of Kosovo question.

I also have negative things to say about the EU (I have mentioned these things many times here), I have also said non-aligned movement is great for Serbia, but isolation from West and relying on Russia will destroy the economy like ours was destroyed. Those people you say that were happier 20 years ago are generally people who worked in state factories and state farms, educated people obviously thought different (OK, I have many good memories from those times and I remember people being much more normal and happy with life, but do you remember 80's in Warsaw, because I do and I say never again for us!).

In my opinion the SAA is a death sentence to KosovA, chocking the separatists in their own mess. Let's see, I am wrong or not. Since I am one of the few crazy, insane people who move TO the area to work, not FROM - let me eat the food I cook.

Alas, I hope, with my work we will have many happy customers in many parts of the world - including Albania and Serbian province Kosovo - who will pay top Dollar/Euro for what we doing in Belgrade.

Some people here may remember that I am strictly condemning the Kosovo declaration and its recognition by some states.
