To my opinion, Kostunica doesn’t care so much about Serbia and its people. What he cares so much is winning the elections and he is trying to do so by giving comments and interviews of this kind so he can present himself as an honourable leader. Let him win, I wish he wins! And then you’ll find out what an honourable leader he and his co are.

Kostunica talks sense now, but he bears a considerable responsability for the present Serbian predicament. He twice helped elect the very men he is criticizing at present for their suspect loyalty in defense of the integrity of Serbian borders.
Couldn't he have predicted that the occupation of Kosovo was going to be the main issue for the Serbs and since he cared so much about it, why didn't he ally himself with the political forces which openly shared the same opinion?
To put it more brutally :what the hell did he expect from Tadic but a role of a Nato collaborationist? (Did he really hope that Draskovic was going to abandon his Ego and worry about interests of Serbia?)
The writing was, Mr Kostunica, all over the wall.

I want to thank Mr. Kostunica again for doing so much for the Albanian cause. I seriously hope he wins the elections. If he wins then Serbia is not joining the EU, simply because UK, Germany, France and Italy are not going to change positions anytime soon about Kosova. Without that Kostunica is pledging not to join which is good for us. Lets not talk about Holland, which pride is still hurt from the times of Srebrenica when its soldiers where captured and under their watch women and children murdered by Mladic Karadzic and company. Serbia under Kostunica has helped these criminals hide and will continue to do so if he wins again.
This is very good for the Albanian cause. Albania will enter NATO most likely by next year, international sources say by June next year. If Serbia ever wants to join NATO it will be vetoed by Albania unless it recognizes Kosova's independence. Thank you Mr. Kostunica for considering NATO as your enemy.
Second, just yesterday EU experts stated that Croatia will enter EU by 2010, Albania by 2011 and Macedonia by 2012. If Kostunica wins Serbia is not going to join Eu at least until 2015-2020. If at any time Serbia wants to join the EU, it will be vetoed by Albania until it recognizes the independence of Kosova. Having said that Albania and through it the Albanians in Kosova will have military and political protection that comes from NATO and EU while Serbia will be alienated from them. All thanks to Mr. Kostunica. I call on all Serbians of voting age to vote for him. Even if I myself had personally picked a Serbian prime-minister that would do so much for our cause I wouldn't have picked a better person. With him in charge you Serbs better make sure Russia has good food also, not only expired food like the one it sends to the Serbs in Kosova.

P.S Please Mr. Kostunica throw in those comments about how you are in a Holly War with NATO and the USA.

I don't know much about Kostunica but he talks a lot of sense here. I wish we had politicians like this in the UK that were willing to stand up to the USA, then maybe we could have avoided going to war so many times for things that were nothing to do with us, and killing innocent people.

I want Serbia to join the EU but the leaders of the EU have really shot themselves in the foot here with trying to interfere and making subtle threats, and they have made it so that people in your country will not trust them, which is a real shame because the EU does really bring a lot of benefits.

However the way Solana et al are carrying on here is disgraceful and it sickens me to see it, and I normally have a lot of respect for the EU :(

The Solana agreement goes against Serbian peoiples interests and no one has the right to sign it on Srbija's behalf.I see it as a point of pride that Srbija is not in the EU.All of Europe is dominated by Germany and Brussels. With the EU the African union the coming American union we are inching ever closer to a one world government where power will be centralized. It is the Serbs duty and fits into to our history to actively resist such an idea.Tadic may walkand talk like a Serb but he serves external interests.I hope the world will wake up and free itself of the evil that is the new world order

EA, if you must write something, go and team up with J.K. Rowling. You have a great imagination.

The most you can hope for is SUPERVISED independence. That's all that the US and their lackies are prepared to give you as THEY want FULL independence for themselves. They are in charge and I'd love to see you try and get independence from them.

They way things stand, you have a very limited number of countries recognizing you so even supervised independence is still a dream.

Forget about what you proclaimed yourself. I can proclaim to rule Tasmania, but do I really? Recent events just proved who is still in charge. Tadic brough his own security, can Thaci do that in Belgrade?

EA my pal, The reality is that Kosovo is nothing more than a big NATO base, not a country. You have a forgin militarry that rules over Kosovo and it's people. Don't get to excited, because there will be a day when Pristina bites the hand that feeds them like they did with Serbia and Nato will not hesitate to smack Pristina across her face. Kosovo will never be independent, you still have the Serbs there and your military master Nato. Untill You get rid of them both you will never be independent moer like dependent my friend. You have a ruler and it's not Pristina. GO SRS & DSS!!!!

Jovan boy,

You know how hard your tried to stop the break of former Yugoslavia.

You have to start reading again my comment "its FULL INDEPENDENCE from Serbia."

Isn't that a REALITY?

One step at a time when it comes the international recognition....Have you have ever dreamtthat Kosova will go so far in just more than two months?

Kostunica is the most honrable leader you Serbs have.I am baffled as to how he won more votes when he ran for president against Milosevic than he and his party garner now?If all Serbs had even half a brain you would give 98% of your votes to the DSS and split the other 2% among the DS and SRS.Every Serb I know has more than half a brain so go and do the right thing.Shalom

EA, don´t fool yourself by writing about "full independence" as a "reality" in capital letters, when you don´t even have the right to prevent Mr.Tadic entering "your" territory since even UNMIK had to accept it...

I mean, do you wear blind-man´s sunglasses, or what???
you are simply being duped...can´t you see that?

Well said Mr Kostunica. Long may you speak out. As an Irish person, I respect and admire your stout defence of your country's territorial integrity. I only wish that more politicians had your courage to speak clearly.

In addition, as a citizen of the EU, I hope that eventually all EU countries see the folly of recognising what is an illegitimate statelet without any legal foundation.

His wife, a kindergarten teacher, helped tend gardens in Italy for "some Russian oligarch" last summer.

Do Serbians want to become like these 'well-paid' slaves?
Signing the SAA means giving up on Kosovo, national pride and any hopes for the revival of the national economy...

How many times will these EU crooks and their propaganda agents fool Serbians...
How many times, till there is no Serbia to fool anymore...?

"I will give one concrete example: if today, after 17 EU member states have recognized the unilateral independence, Serbia were to sign this agreement with the EU, then these 17 states would consider they signed it not with the whole of Serbia, but with Serbia without Kosovo," Koštunica said.

If Kostunica has said that must be THE TRUTH that the Serbians can understand. One thing Koshtunica hasn't said is that he hasn't got the guts and capacity to stop the new Kosova's REALITY which means its FULL INDEPENDENCE from Serbia. In other claim would mean misleading the Serbian people and I really hope that the Serbian people will see the REALITY as it is!
