"Careful approach to Kosovo lawsuits"

Serbia's decision to sue any of the EU states would link its future membership to the issue of Kosovo's status, Vuk Jeremić, DS, says.

EA: nothing is lost... even if you wish it to be that way...

KS: don´t say it to loud, it could happen. but then, and I really hope it won´t happen, you would be the total losers.

Serbia is acting quite responsible at the moment... no violence, only diplomacy...

that´s what you are so concerned of right? or do you really care for the money of serbian tax-payers? =)

don´t worry, you´ll be liberated and all will be fine. only a question of time.

MR Jeremic suddenly started to think.
he realises now that suing all these countries might be problematic for Serbia.

He fails to understand that the reasons these countries are giving for recognizing Kosovo are, so that peace and stability to prevail in Balkans.
Croatia gave that reason, USA, Britain ,France and the List goes on .

Keep praying for lawsuits and opinions.

[IF] The second North Kosova Serbs proclaim it a republic is the moment that they will face SHPK / KSF....why didn't you send an army against us "separatists" --- as if the idea of independence was born or given to us yesterday? We've wanted independence since the moment Europe gave Kosova as gift to you (London Conference 1912).

Jeremic is a very intelligent man, but he has made a young mans error of being impatient.

If Serbia starts a law suit it will be resolved within five to eight years. At this rate, Serbia will have a positive verdict before the Country is ready to become an EU member. Why not then sue? the enforcement of the suit can be a negotiating point for Serbia's entry into the EU, and the EU will be forced to make further concessions and bring its foreign policy closer to international legal norms.
Countries will not unrecognise Kosovo, but their sponsorship of Kosovo may force the Kosovo Albanians to make concessions.

Whether the Kosovo Albanians like it or not Serbia, Macedonia and Albania will always be their major trading partners and the trade that Kosovo Albanians have with the rest of Serbia can not be replaced by the other trading partners. Because of this the Albanians will have to, at some point, come out of the cold and negotiate in good faith.

A bit of European prodding the Kosovo Albanians may help the situation immensely, but this will not come about unless Serbia makes the EU and the Kosovo separatists accountable.

I don't understand what the DS means. It is very improbable that the EU will accept "another Cyprus". So they nearly certainly will ask Serbia and Kosovo to sort out their differences before they are allowed to enter. This means that it won't make much difference whether Serbia starts a lawsuit or not. Actually it may help as it will clarify the situation.
But I doubt whether it wouldn't be better to ask the court a general opinion instead of drawing 40 countries before the court. And if they want to summon a specific country I think the US would be the logical choice in view of their role in Kosovo's independence.

There is a right way to do it and there is a “realpolitik” pragmatic way. Those two are not always the same, however it may be unjust.
Is Serbia believes that injustice has been done by those countries who recognized the unilateral move by Kosovo Albanian leaders and US – the only place to seek justice is: the court. Where else?
If the pragmatism prevails ( i.e. “ do not urinate in the same well you are intending to drink from” – however far in future) , than Serbia should stop it and suppress it’s frustrations and change , at least , the method and approach to this issue. Let’s be honest – it will take generations, if ever, for an average Serb to accept being thrown out of his own crib to be replaced by someone else.
Bottom Line: You can not have it both: justice and the future in EU.
Tough?
Yes, but the modern world is not a FairyLand – never was – never will be.

Careful this careful that!
1244 is in law!
The EU says so!

You know what Serbia. Be a country and do what Serbia wants to do. Don't become a prisoner or a puppet in your own country !

Is the same country that fought off the Ottomans?

You need to worry about Netherlands and those 2 genociders you're protecting in your country, that's what will block you from entering the EU. Lawsuits over recognitions fly nowhere, there's no law in the world that forbids recognitions. Unless you live in Belarus.

Once again, DS shows its true colors. The time to defend Serbia's borders is now, not when the EU/NATO says it's OK. They never will. It's backtracking like this that dissolved the government and the DSS is right to leave them.

It is time to sue and sue now! Yes, Serbia wants money for damages! Yes, the penalties should be high to serve as a strong disincentive for other countries that want to nation build within others borders.

Vuk Jeremic is smart enough to know better. Is he in somebody elses pocket, like Thaci's?
