A little comment about the price.

Why do some people think that price that Russians pay is too low? Only because the press say so? Are there many of them who can value the business and calculate the price?
I do not have economics background and even for me it is obvious that business is worth as much as it may earn in future. (and in no way you can value business based on how much you paid in past - e.g. based on the balance sheet value, especially when all value on the balance sheet appeared as a result of artificial revaluation - e.g. math exercise)
How much would NIS earn, say, in 2010, when Government will stop to support it and protect from competition?
NIS was ruined by Americans and the equipment is old, we have the worst fuel in Europe, and our fuel damage the envenvironment.
Will NIS be able to sell anything in a real market competition. No, they won't.
So they will not earn a dinar. That means NIS is worth ZERO without a proper reconstruction plan.
And Russians are happy to pay 400mln Euro for what is worth nothing, and invest 500mln in reconstruction, reconstruction, giving us more jobs and fresher air...

Dear Zoran ! Please don't worry about me for I follow the situation in Serbia. We also once had such forces at our head. I only mean that Russian people who know only that the Serbs are the only European nation not to betray us will be hard to understand how the two leaders to come to Moscow were unable to ratify the deal.

Yet I have no doubs of the happy end as the mutual sympathy of the two nations are not to be ruined with only one contract of only one Russian company. Our relations are not measured with money.

to comrade & the Russian people;

Do not take offense or see this action as treason by Serbs. Serbia is being controlled by a government which will soon (God willing) lose power.

Be patient, the deal will be finalized!

What's the matter with this present 'puppet' Govt.
The more the delay, the more you're risking a Russian backlash...!

Do you really want to be EU's slaves?

DS and G17- can no longer be considered with any credible manner that they are parties who act in the best interest of all Serbs - on the contrary by blocking this deal they show that their own interest and that of their EU 'friends' are all that matter to them.

The Serbian electorate are far more intelligent then these party politicing games and the electorate understand the true worth of the Gazprom deal for Serbia's continued economic development which ultimately will be stymied if it has not secured energy supplies which DS and G17- are blocking!

I repeat ..The Russian have given you peanuts for your NIS (selling with a proper auction will have earn you at least the double ) but if you kick them off you will loose South stream because it will pass through Romania...
Eni (50% stake in South stream ) has already told The Russian energy minister in Rome that the Romanians are ready and eager...

Well it all remind me of the Ukrainian way of conducting the business. If after the elections none of the two sides have no decicive support of the nation Serbia won't be able to defend it's interests effectively.

With Gasprom there will be little problems. It's capitalisation may change 1 or 2 % but the worst thing is if the deal is annuled. It will encourage the hostile powers for a bigger split with Serbia's main ally. Another problem is that it will no duobt be accepted by ordinary Russians as a treason. Those people in Russian province know nothing of the NIS price and other details of the deal. They will only know that the contract once signed was then abolished by people whom we considered to be the closest by spirit nation in Europe. Here's the main problem but not the NIS deal as it is.
